Chapter 7

Adara ran through the doors, the people were still there and they looked at her with scared expressions. She then ran up to the stage where the cage laid. "Has anyone seen my friend!? Brown hair and blue eyes?!"she asked angry but everyone shook their heads furiously no.

"Why did I even ask them?"Adara though to herself. Adara looked around to see where they could of put Ash. She the saw two doors on the sides of the stage so she ran through them.

As she ran backstage, she yelled"Ash! Ash! Are you in here?!" "You lookin for your boyfriend missy?" asked a male voice. Adara looked in the direction of the voice but only saw the person's shadow. "Who are you?! What have you done to Ash?!"she yelled the questions at him. The man stepped out into the light and it was the man with the eye patch. "So his name is Ash?"asked the man. "Where is he!?"Adara yelled. "He's locked up,"the man replied. "Where?!"Adara asked. "Not tellin,"the man told her. A foam formed in Adara's hand. "Tell me now or I'll burn your face!"Adara threatened. The man rolled his eyes and let out a chuckle. "You can threaten me all you want missy but you know you can't kill me because I'm the one who knows where Ash is,"the man pointed out. "I'll find him without your help!"Adara yelled at him. "Fine then,"the man chuckled as Adara ran pass him. 

Adara ran into the door behind him but only fount a storage room. She ran out the door and then jumped on the man's back. She made a flame form into her hand and held it by the man's throat.

"Tell me now! I'll spare your life if you spill!"Adara threatened. "You wouldn't,"the man replied. Adara chuckled and said"You saw what I wa going to do to that woman back in the cabin, you saw what happened out there, you know what I'm capable of so I wouldn't test me if I was you," Adara added. "Fine then,"the man replied. Adara jumped off his back and kept the flame in her hand. "Lead me to Ash! Now!"Adara yelled and the man started walking back to the storage room and Adara raised an eyebrow.

He walked into the room and went over to the back shelf and shifted a box to the left. The shelf began to move and the wall opened up. The man walked in and Adara followed. Their was a long white hall that they walked down. The brightness started hurting Adara's eyes. They walked down to the middle of the hallway. All the walls were down and blurry. Adara couldn't tell if there were people inside of them. They stopped at one of them and the man tapped a few numbers on a key ad and the blurry wall went up. Ash junked on the man. Adara could tell that Ash was ready to attack anyone who opened the cell.

"We have to go Adara!"Ash yelled as he got off the man. Adara nodded and they ran back up the hallway. They ran out of the storage room and they shut the wall up. They then ran out of there and pass the people that were scared and Ash for a glance at the broken cage and frowned at it.

"Where we headed?!"Adara yelled way Ash could hear her. "Back into the woods, we need to get out of here now though!"Ash yelled back. Adara looked back and the man with the eye patch and his partner were chasing Adara and Ash.

Flames began to surround both Adara and Ash as they turned back into a phoenix. They flew out of the huge hole through the doors and went straight to the woods. They both stopped in their tracks as they saw the whole woods were burning down. Adara could see the ashes of the cabin in the way back.

Adara and Ash stayed in the air until they saw that the two men that were chasing them were now right behind them. Ash screeched at Adara. None of them really knew where they were headed now but Ash flew through the flames of the woods and Adara followed. They flew all the way out of the woods to the river in the way back.

Flame sleet their bodies as the landed on a tree branch that was untouched by the fires. They hid in the tree.

"What happened while I was gone?"Ash asked Adara. "They took me to a cage and suddenly I transformed into a gigantic phoenix and screeched so loud that the bars broke and then I fled to find you and went to the cabin but I was still in the big form so I ended up cutting tress with flames and then when I went to the cabin, I accidently burnt the whole place down," Adara explained what happened. 

"Wow, are you okay though?"he asked Adara. "Yeah, I'm fine,"she replied. "Adara, why did you run out yesterday?"Ash asked her. "I don't know, it was just so dark like the cabin that it scared me and I just started thinking of everything that's been happening and I-"Adara was going to continue but Ash noticed that she started breathing hard again so he said"It's okay, I understand." "Thank you, you've always stuck by my side no matter what I said so thank you,"Adara told him with a hug. He hugged her back.

Adara suddenly heard a bang! Adara quickly turned her head to see what it was. She saw the man with the eye patch smirking up at her. He mouthed the words"Bye bye birdy." A short gun maybe a pistol, was in the man's hand and aimed at Adara. She let go of Ash and then felt like no one was on the tree by her. She turned back to Ash to look at him but he was no longer on the branch with her.

She looked down and saw Ash falling. "Ash!"she yelled his name as the man with the eye patch pulled his trigger.
