Another chance (The Selection Fanfiction)

Chapter Four

America's point of view:
I was walking in a long narrow way, and everything was dark like the dark night, except the light in the end of the way, that obliges me to come towards it. I walked, and walked for hours without stopping, maybe because I didn't feel tired.
Suddenly, I heard a sound. There's someone who sings a song... God, his voice is so beautiful like angles. I tried to walk towards it, but the light started to pull me towards it. I tried and tried, but I failed, then the voice stopped, and I fell on the ground crying. I stayed there for hours without moving, until I heard the same voice speaking, "Hey, America how are you. I don't know if it's true, but I think that you must hear me." And he laughed, God, his laugh is like the melody of the spring, that makes you want to melt.
"I know that I came and saw you at morning, but I missed you a lot. I'm an idiot, but what can I do, I'm addicted to you, I'm addicted to your hair, that shines like the burning flames, to your eyes that all I want is to be opened and see my reflection in them, to your face that's so similar to the angels, to your lips that I want desperately to kiss.... I know that you didn't see me, ever in your life. I know that you love Maxon, even though he chose another woman to marry. I know that I can't be compared to him, my hair is dark blond, my eyes are icy blue. I'm taller and younger than him. I'll always be Prince, but he'll be king. But if you accept to give me a chance I promise you that I'll love you forever, until my death, until my last breath." Then I heard him cry, but why? "America, you can't die. You must wake up. You can't give up now, you must open your eyes and live. You can't leave me alone, I can't live my life without you in it.... please wake up.... I really need you, you're the only light in my life. Wake up." He cries harder.
I really wanted to wake up and see his face, and to tell him that I'm fine and to stop crying, but the problem is that I really don't know how to wake up, how to go out of this darkness.
"America." Someone said, so I turned and saw the most beautiful woman in the whole world.
"Who are you?" I asked. "It doesn't matter, honey. All that matter now is you returning back to life. It's not your time now, maybe later but not now." "Yes kitten, she's right, it's not your time, yet. Your mother, your sisters and your brother are waiting for you, don't let them wait for so long." This voice I can never forget. "Dad." I hugged him very hard and started to cry. "I missed you very much... I love you... don't leave me again..." He stopped me by saying, "Ames, I love you too but you must go away from this place before they took of the machines." Huhh, what he is saying.
"Dad, what do you mean by they will take the machines of." I looked in his eyes. "When you wake up, you'll know everything, but now please go." It's easy to say this, but the problem is how.
"But how?" I asked both of them.
"Do you hear this sound." The woman asked. " Yes." Still not understanding anything. "This guy, I mean this voice will lead you the way. He'll be the solution for your problems. He'll be your future, your present and your past." I looked at her disbelieving, then I looked at my father, "Listen to her kitten. I know that your heart is still bleeding because of Maxon, but Ames this boy is the right one for you, he will do anything to make you happy, so don't miss this opportunity to see your true love. Also, your mom, May, Gerad, Kenna, and my first granddaughter Astra, all of them need you. So, please go to them, and tell them that I missed them a lot." I nodded and hugged him. Then, I started to walk towards the voice. He was my last hopes to live. And I'm going to take this challenge, I will live, and I'll forget everything, I'll not let the past stop me.
Then, I felt something weird so I closed my eyes and when I opened them another time, the light entered my eyes, and a small moan left my lips. "America, are you awake? Can you hear me?" God, his voice, I can listen to his voice for the whole day without feeling bored. "Mmmm..." And I opened my eyes to find the most beautiful blue eyes in the whole world, they are like the shining sky.
Then, for the first time I saw where am I. And when I tried to move my head, I felt pain shot in my head, and I whined "My head hurts a lot." But I must ask him "Where am I?" "America, you're in Italy." America, who's America "Who's America?" "What?" He looked at me in shock.
"Are you joking or you really don't remember?" I tried to remember anything but I couldn't. "No, I can't remember anything, at all.... My mind is like a blank paper.... I feel like I'm newly born..." I started to cry. He sat beside me, and then hugged me to his chest. "Shhh. Don't cry, it's ok, we will find something. But now smile your breathtaking smile." I looked at him and tried to smile and convince myself that everything will be fine. "That's the smile that I love." Then he whipped away my tears, and kissed me slowly on my forehead. "I must go and tell the doctor that you're awake." Then, he stand up and started to move, but I caught his hand, and said "Please, don't leave me alone. I don't want to be alone.... I'm..." I begged. I didn't know why I did this, but I felt so safe beside him. "Ok. But I'll push this bottom so the doctor can see you and tell us what had happened to your memory." After he pushed it, he sat beside me and hugged me.
A moment later, I heard a voice, "Your Highness, did something happen?...." Then he stopped and looked at me "It's a miracle... how... We lost the hope that you'll ever wake up... How do you feel now?" He said while looking at us. "Did I come in the wrong time?" I blushed, and I became like a tomato. On the other hand, the Prince who I don't know his name laughed and said "No.. no.. You didn't." Then he became serious, "But there's a problem, she can't... I mean she maybe..." I cut him by saying " I don't remember anything even my name. I think I lost my memory." You can feel the bitterness in my voice. "Ok, lady America. Actually, we had predicted this, you had hit your head in the accident very badly, but there's possibility that you'll regain your memories. The important thing is that you must rest and don't pressure yourself to remember, the memories will return suddenly, so I hope that you'll let your family and your friends help you." I nodded. "So now let me examine you." And then he looked at the Prince. "I'm sorry....emmm... I'll go out... I'll call her family so they can see her." Then he left the room, so the doctor started his examine. After he finished, he said "Everything is good..." I left my brow disbelieving. "Ok, except your memory, fine, are you happy now." "Yeah... happy." I said while I'm laughing. "Do you know that Prince Julian had stayed beside you most of the time, we, I mean all who work in the palace think that he loves you, even princess Nicoletta things that also." A princess, does that mean he is married, but then why did he stay beside me. The doctor noticed the change in my mood and said "Princess Nicoletta is Prince Julian's sister. Don't worry, he's not married, you still have a chance." He claimed, then started to laugh. I think my face had become as red as my hair. "I didn't..." I was stopped by a voice calling my name. This voice was very familiar, but in the same way it's not. Then when I looked to see who had come, I saw a small boy, and a small girl who you think that she's my twin sister, then there's a young girl who she must be a model, and at last there's a woman who was been crying. Then I felt something in my head, it hurts a lot, and it made me shout and cry. Then, they came towards me to see if everything was fine. "I remember you." I said while I'm looking at them. "Mum, I missed you, and also you May. Gerad, come, sit on my lap." Then I hugged them all. After that I looked at the girl that is at the same age as mine, and said "Sorry, but I don't remember you." "It's Celeste, your friend from the selection." May said. "It's a long story, we will tell you about it later. But now, can I hug my best friend." Celeste said. I nodded saying "Come on."
We cried for hours in each other embrace. Then, Prince Julian entered the room, and when he saw us, he smiled and then he whispered "Everything will be fine." And I nodded.
It's another chapter, I hope you like it. Sorry for not updating for so long, I had projects and final exams. I decided to continue this sorry, even though there's nobody wanting it.
