Chapter 7

Tris POV

When I got home after band practice I went upstairs and laid on my bed. All I kept hearing was Tobias' voice dining to me. Then I drift off to sleep.

I awake to something hitting my balcony window. I start to panic 'what if it is some freaking murderer thief ax maniac?' Then I mentally slap myself 'It couldn't be that bad right?' I decide to look out the window and realize someone is throwing rocks at my window! "Holy Chiz!" I yell and then I see Tobias. "Toby what in the world are you doing?!" I am a little scared for my window.

"I was going to throw pebbles but I couldn't find any sorry are you okay Tris?" I nod. "yeah I'm fine." He is all the way down two stories. "Can I come in?" I look a little worried but I nod. I run down to the door and open it and run outside. Okay maybe I'm a little too excited to see him so I try and play it off. "Hey Tobias what's up?" I mentally slap myself again 'Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!' He looks at me with his eyes full of content. "Are you okay Tris?" I kind of trip over myself and he catches me. "Ha. I guess not." He brings me back to my standing. "Maybe I should go..." I cut him off "No!" I stutter. "No, don't go I'm fine just come inside." he gives me an okay nod and then I gesture him towards the door. Caleb is at the door when I open it. "What?" I ask he is giving the 'protective older brother' look and I sigh "Four this is my brother Caleb." Four puts his hand out. Caleb doesn't want to shake it but he does. "What are you doing here?" he asks Tobias. "I came to talk to Tris." he says calmly. "You better not do something stupid or I will rip your head off." Caleb says but I laugh. Caleb is kind of buff but not as much as Tobias or me. "What are you laughing at?" he asks "The fact of you trying to rip his head off, besides if he does something stupid I will end up either kicking, punching, or slapping him." Then Four gives me a 'You're not going to do that right?' look I respond with a 'Depends if you do something stupid or not.'

When we walk down the stairs my mother hears us and says "Oh sweetheart who is this you have here?" She smiles "Mom, this is Four. Four, this is my mother." He smiles and shakes her hand "Nice to meet you." She replays with a smile and "You too, Now where are you two headed?" I reply with "We are going to the movies." she nods and says "Okay love you bye sweetheart."

When we get to the movies we see two figures that look familiar. They don't see us but when they walk past us I see it's Christina and Will and Tobias says "I knew this why he was always late for practice." I smile "I had a feeling that's what happened." we both get popcorn and soda and go into the movies and sit and watch what ever movie was next. Unfortunately it was a horror movie.

After the movie was over I was the happiest person in the world. "Come in it wasn't that bad." Tobias said "Maybe to you." he gets in the car. I follow on the passenger side. "Tris I have a question," I look worried but I say "Okay shoot." he sighs and says "Well here goes nothing. Tris do you like me?" I freeze for a second. "Like like you like you or like you?" He says "Like me like me." I think carefully about but I say "Yes why?" He smiles and says "I feel like I trust you okay I have a confession..."

After he told me what his father had done to him I felt enraged and yet happy that he trust me enough to tell me about something no one else knows. "Are you going to be okay?" I ask and he says "Yeah I will be fine." I smile and he leans close to my face and I feel myself lean in closer too. As soon our lips touch I pull away and a flood of bad memories come rushing through and I say "I'm sorry I don't think I can do this not after what happened." I start walking away and Tobias calls me and says "Wait what happened Tris you can tell me anything." I turn back. "Eric." is all I have to Say and he just understood. and he held me in a embrace. "It's okay." He says.
