Chapter 19

Tris POV

His voice was oft and sweet. I loved it when he sang, especially to me. We laughed and kissed and sang and danced all night. It was perfect. It really was until the next morning. "Honey, wake up." my mother was shaking me awake. She had a smile on her face I couldn't understand why. Then I sat up and looked over. Oh yeah, he's still here. I knew we fell asleep together but I just thought he would leave eventually. I got out of the bed and I headed to the bathroom and my mother went downstairs. When I walked out my father was at the door. "Where is he?" he sounded mad. "Who?" I said trying to stall and think of something good. "You know who. Where is he?" I had do something and fast, but right when I was going to say where he was he tapped my father's shoulder and said "Right here." My father did something I never thought I would see. He smacked Tobias square in the jaw. "Dad! What in the world was that for?" He looked at me enraged. "You slept with him!" Oh he thinks we....OH. "Dad nothing happened we slept actually sleeping together. I promise nothing happened." I said giving him my pleading look his eyes softened. "Are you sure?" I knew what he was feeling right now sad and protective. "Yes. I am 2000% positive." He sighed and turned to Tobias who was still in shock from my father slapping him. "What have you never been slapped before?" I asked him after my father left to go downstairs. "No I really haven't. Ever." I laughed at that statement and he gave me an 'Oh shut up' look. This made me laugh even more. We walked down the stairs and my mother was making pancakes. "Oh hello Four. How are you?" I give her this weird look she just saw us earlier. I'm just standing there waiting for him to answer. I look at him and he is just smiling. "I'm fine Mrs. Prior." Then he winks at me and I hit his arm. "Ow. What is abuse the boyfriend day?" My father laughs at this. We are all kind of just looking at him like he's crazy but Tobias and I are trying so hard not to laugh, but we couldn't help it. Then Caleb comes in. "What is everyone laughing about?" He asks my mother. "Don't ask me ask those three apparently they have an inside joke or something like that." She pointed to us as she was talking and Caleb turns to us and says "Well?" Then we all exchange looks and I say "Nah. We'd rather not tell you. You had to be there." then we all sit down Tobias next to me on my left, my father on my right, Caleb in front of me and my mother in front of Tobias.

Everything was kind of awkward because no one was saying anything at all and we were all staring at each other. Then finally my mother broke the silence and said "So Tobias what do you want to do with your life, like collage major." He put his fork down and thought He was deep in thought. Then he said "Computer Technology." I was a little surprised at this. Then again he is good with computers and it was kinda hot. The rest of breakfast was a lot of talking and questions. This was going to a very long day.
