"Did the playbook tell you to say that too?"
-Gemini Jefferson

****

I walked mindlessly through the halls filled to the brim with students. My head pounding beyond belief, but I still trudged on.

The practice ended up being a success, it went great. It had to for how many days and hours I put into trying to make it happen. Which I was currently suffering for, but Reggie was there in my thoughts constantly, and I just wanted to snap and ask if he got points in the playbook for coming to my performances. My head kept spinning, I was throwing up every couple of minutes and I could barely think about a light being on. It didn't help that Reggie actions at the drive in haunted me.

"Ugh." I lean my head on my locker as a another wave of nausea hits me.

"Woah, Gemini you don't look too great." Reggie speaks from beside me. I groan at his voice as I shove my face into my sweater.

"Did, the playbook tell you to say that too?" I ask him. I turn on my heels trying to walk away from him. He jogs after me grabbing the crook of my elbow. He spins me back to him making the hallway spin more. I hiss at the movement and stumble into him.

He lets my head rest on his shoulder softly rubbing my arm.

"What's wrong Gem?" He questions worriedly.

"Just leave me alone jerk." I weakly threaten him. He shakes his head at me as he pulls my head back into his chest.

"No, you're sick come on." He leads back down the hall towards the front doors.

"Where are you taking me?" I ask quietly.

"Somewhere for you to lay down to rest and hopefully let this past." He answers. I stay silent as the doors swoosh open around us an closing silently in our wake.

"Come on." He ushers me into his car and leans the sit all the way back from me to rest, and throws his jacket over me before going to his side of the car and pulling out of the parking lot.

Soon we pulled up to his house. He deposited the keys into the pocket of his jeans and hurries to my side of the car. I push the door open and wobbly stand to my feet. He stops at my side and pushes an arm around my waist and guides me to his front door.

He lets go and unlocks the door. I groan again and push my face into his back. He laughs quietly at me and grabs onto to my forearms to lead me in, not risking me moving my head again.

"Come on, step up." I follow his orders. I kick the door closed behind us as he moves away from me before pluckin gme from the ground and making his way to the stairs. He stepped carefully up the stairs trying not to moving me around too much.
