Don shook his head. "This is fucking bullshit. Larry, investigate him."
"I am, Don." Larry said confused. "That's how we found all this out, buddy."
Don shook his head. "I mean James."
"No." Meryl finally spoke.
Don looked at her in shock. "Meryl, my fucking father led this psycho to you. He sure as hell is going to pay for his role in all of this. I am NOT letting him get away with what has happened to you. I have warned him over and over not to fuck with you and I meant it. He let him come after us."
"Don, sweetheart, calm down." Meryl said as she saw a wild look in his eyes and she felt some sort of shift.
Don was trying to get free of her hold. "Calm down? You're okay with people coming after us? I bet you're glad I'm in this fucking hospital bed. Where you can keep me under your thumb while still having your fun on the side. I'm in this fucking bed because of you, James and my mother. I can't be with my son. It's what you fucking wanted."
"Don!" Meryl tried to stop him from getting out of the bed.
Don stumbled as he pushed her off him. "Get the fuck off me!" Don yelled as he raised his hand and smacked her. Then smacked the other side of her face.
"No, don't!" Meryl sobbed as she cowered away from him. "Please stop, DON! DON'T DO THIS!"
Larry ran over to him and grabbed his arm. "DON! STOP!"
"What?" Don asked. "Why is Meryl crying? What did you do to her?"
Larry put his hands on Don's shoulders. "Bud, you pushed her and smacked her twice."
"Oh my God." Don whispered as tears came to his eyes as he walked over to her as he saw the fear in her eyes. "Baby, I'm so sorry." Meryl continued to cry as she cowered away from him.

"NO! NO!" Don thrashed in his sleep. "I'm so sorry, Meryl! Never....hurt! God, NO! SO SORRY!" "Baby, SORRY, SORRY. OH, GOD!"
Meryl woke up with a start from her own nightmare. She dreamed Don really did smack her and pushed her up against the wall then hit her in her stomach. In her dream she lost their baby. Meryl quickly looked around and saw where she was, knowing it was just an awful nightmare. Don wouldn't do that to her even in an episode. She looked over and saw he was having a nightmare of his own and that he was thrashing around in his sleep. She was terrified he was going to hurt himself. She had to push the shakiness from her own nightmare to the back burner so she could make sure he didn't hurt himself. She leaned over and held his shoulders down. Trying to stop him from hurting himself. "Don, wake up. Come on baby, wake up. I'm fine. Everything is okay. Wake up for me, Don Man. Come back to me from your nightmare; please, baby."
"MERYL!" Don sat straight up.
Meryl carefully pushed him back down. "Baby, calm down. You need to be careful. I'm okay sweetheart, I'm right here. You were just having a bad dream. Everything is okay."
"No...no...no...it's not." Don sobbed.
Meryl knew that being emotional was part of all his surgeries but she was concerned. "Yeah baby, it is. You had brain surgery but will be just fine. I'm fine. Henry is fine."
"It wasn't...dream." Don choked.
Meryl leaned down and kissed his forehead over and over. "Yeah baby, it was. You were asleep, crying, screaming and thrashing around. You need to stay calm, Don Man. We can't have you hurting yourself."
