"Why does he need testing?" Meryl asked as she and Don were in their makeshift double hospital bed. "Is something else wrong? I thought you scanned his brain and there were no clots or bone chips or anything. Can't they take his blood in here and check it?"
Don grabbed her hand and kissed it. "Sweetheart, let's hear what Dr. Abbott has to say."
"I just want to make sure there is no internal bleeding or swelling." Dr. Abbott said with a hand to her shoulder. "I do want to do another brain scan because of his issues in the past. This is all, precautionary. He is doing very well this soon after surgery. I just don't want any of us to be surprised by anything."
Meryl took a deep and calming breath. "Okay, I'm sorry."
"You don't need to apologize, Darl." Don said with a kiss to the side of her head. "You are just looking out for me; as always."
Dr. Abbott nodded. "You all have been through hell. I just want all of you to receive the best possible care. The tests won't take longer than an hour then we'll have him back up here."
"I can't go?" Meryl asked even though she knew the answer.
Dr. Abbott shook his head. "It would be harmful to you and the baby to be in radiology."
"I sure as hell don't want that." Don said strongly. "How about we call over to Henry's room and have someone come stay with you?"
Meryl shook her head. "It's just an hour, babe, I'll be fine. Besides, you and Dr. Abbott have said no male nurses. I'll rest and see you soon. Just don't be gone too long."
"We'll have him back here ASAP." Dr. Abbott said wheeling a wheelchair over to Don.
Don placed a loving kiss on Meryl lips and then winked at her. "I love you, beautiful."
"I love you too, Don Man." Meryl winked as Dr. Abbott helped him in the wheelchair. "Don't be gone long."
Don waved as Dr. Abbott wheeled him to the door. "I'll be back before you know it."

When Don noticed nothing was happening while lying on the Xray table he started to get up and froze when he saw who was at the door. "How the fuck did you get out, Mann?"
"You can't keep them away from me." Mann said. "They are mine. You just couldn't accept that."
Don tried to get to the door but his legs wouldn't move. "You get ANYWHERE NEAR them and I will KILL you."
"Wrong again, Danny Boy." Mann said as she shot Don in the heart. "I just killed you."

Meryl was lying in the hospital bed when a nurse came in, a male nurse. "What's going on? My husband said no male nurses."
"He's such a jealous prick." The nurse said lowering his surgical mask to reveal who it was.
Meryl began to panic when she heard that voice, when she saw that face. "NO! NO! NO! OH GOD, PLEASE NO!"
"Donny boy won't be a problem anymore. He's dead." Mann said injecting something in her IV. "You are finally mine; now and forever."

Don and Meryl's nurse, Kristin, was taking care of another patient when her nursing partner, Kyle, noticed on the monitor's that Meryl's blood pressure was extremely high. He knew that she would need to be sedated so he grabbed a vile and went into their room noticing Don was still asleep and Meryl was thrashing around as he went over to her. "Mrs. Gummer, wake up."
