Bad Intentions~Dansby Swanson

Chapter 18

DECEMBER 25TH, 2018 

Merry Christmas everyone! I'm starting to show, so we're announcing our pregnancy to everyone today when they come over for presents soon. I got up around 9 to get everything ready. In my family we do breakfast, so Dansby and I made breakfast for my parents, his parents and his siblings. 

I didn't know what to get Dansby, so I got him a dog and his parents were bringing her over. I hadn't named her yet but she is the cutest thing ever and he's going to fall in love instantly. 

My parents were the first ones here followed by his siblings. I heard his parents in the driveway so I went out to meet them and get the puppy and she showered me with kisses all over my face. 

"Dansby, you ready for your present?" I said walking into the living room and his eyes lit up once he saw her. I let her down and she went running right over to him like she new that he was her daddy and it was the sweetest thing ever. 

"You did this?" He said coming over to me and I smiled and nodded at him. "Of course I did. I didn't know what to get you and I saw her and I knew you would love her so, Merry Christmas baby." I said kissing him. 

"I love you and her, does she have a name yet?" He asked sitting down on the couch with her and she curled up in his lap. I grabbed the presents for the parents and Lindsey and Chase. "Alright on three, you all have to open them at the same time ready? Go!" 

"OH MY GOD NO WAY!" Lindsey said getting up and giving me a hug and Dansby's parents were confused and so were mine when I looked at them. "Really do you not get it?" I said looking at the both of them and they all shook their heads no. 

"Guys, we're having a baby." Dansby said and their jaws dropped and my mom got tears in her eyes. "You mean I'm gonna be a grandma?" She asked and I nodded and she came up and gave me a hug. "Awe my little baby is gonna have a baby." My dad said kissing the top of my head. 

"When are you do?" Chase asked as we were opening more presents. "May 18th, or around there." I said and he hugged me. "I can't wait to be an uncle, I'm already so proud of him or her." He said and I couldn't help but tear up at that, okay maybe it was the hormones already. 

"Awe Chase, that's too cute." I said giving him a side hug. After presents we all took pictures and I put the one we took to announce our pregnancy on Instagram and Dansby did the same. 

"DaniellaNicole: Baby Swanson coming to you May 18th, 2019, also welcome to the family little Bentley! Merry Christmas, the best Christmas present is Dansby, Bentley and the little blessing inside of me."

"Dansbyswanson: Can't wait to be a daddy in 2019! I love you already little one, Merry Christmas everyone!" (picture in media)

"Are you happy that it's out now and everyone knows?" Dansby asked as we were cleaning up the house after everyone left. "Yeah very, now I can stop wearing baggy clothes when I go out." I said with a laugh. 

"When do we find out what we're having?" He said coming up behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist and rubbing my stomach. I sighed and leaned my head back on his shoulder. "Next month and I can't wait to start actually planning for him or her. I really hope it's a her but I'll be fine with either." 

"I want a boy. I don't want to worry about her bringing boys home right now. Maybe once after I'm done with baseball we can have a girl, then I can't threaten the guy with 'I have a bat and I know how to use it' phrase." He said and I couldn't help but laugh because that's something he would do. 

"Dansby, you can't keep her from dating, she'll be just like us and meet the love of her life in college and maybe the guy won't screw up." I said with a laugh and turning towards him. "I hate when you bring that up." He said hanging his head. 

I sighed and lifted his head up so he could look at me. "Dansby it's all in fun now. Obviously I forgave you otherwise we wouldn't be in this situation, I love you." I said kissing him. 

"I know I still think about it every day and I always think about how lucky that I am that you took me back and I'm so grateful that you did." He said and I nodded. "Dansby I love you okay, let's just have fun with it now okay?" I said and he nodded. 

"Fine, but it still sucks so don't bring it up that often." He said and I laughed as we both went back to cleaning up. "Fine Dansby you got me there." I said letting Bentley out into the backyard to do her business. 

"You think we can train her and take care of a baby?" He said coming next to me in the doorway. "She'll be trained by the time the baby comes and she's going to do so good with her, she's going to be a good guard dog for our baby." 

He shrugged and went back to cleaning while I went upstairs to lay down. I was starting to get big and things tired me more than they should, like cleaning. So Bentley came and laid next to me on the bed and I fell asleep cuddling the dog instead of Dansby. 

I have to admit, it was a lot comfier than falling asleep on Dansby.
