OCTOBER 23RD, 2016

It's the last home game of the season, it's senior night and I couldn't be any more emotional than I am right now.

Dansby and I have been really good, going on dates and I'm still not his girlfriend yet, which I find really weird to be honest. He seems like the type of guy to go on a couple of dates and then ask you to be his girlfriend, but we've been on plenty of dated and still hasn't asked me.

I don't know what he wants from me but I'm still going to try and give him what he wants but I want answers from him today.

I grabbed my phone and texted him and asked him to come over and the next thing I knew, he was in my room.

"What's up baby?" He said giving me a kiss. I smiled, I loved it when he called me baby. "So I've been thinking, about us, and I was just wondering why you haven't asked me to be your girlfriend yet?" I knew this might start a war but I didn't care, I needed to know.

He sighed and ran his hands through his hair. "Baby girl, I haven't asked you yet because I don't know how we're going to be when we both leave this place. I want you to be mine so bad, I'm just scared of losing you after we leave here."

Well that's a really good explanation. I sighed and got up and gave him a hug, his hugs were like my calm zone whenever I was freaking out about school or soccer. "Dans, you're not going to lose me, I just hope you really get drafted by the Braves."

He laughed and kissed my forehead. "I know, but I'm just scared to ask you I guess. I've never had a serious girlfriend before, they all have been about the looks and sex and then they leave. I don't want that from you."

I was honestly feeling so bad for him. I never knew he felt that way about me or that way in general. "Dans, I'm not like that, you know that. If I was in it for the sex, I would've left by now. But I'm in it Dansby for the long haul. I really care about you."

I was being honest, I really did care about him and I think that I love him, but I won't tell him that right now. It's way too early for love right now. "Then Daniella, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked and I'm sure my smile couldn't get any bigger on my face.

"Yes Dansby, I would love to be your girlfriend." I said and he smiled and kissed me. "God, it feels good to finally say that to you." He said kissing me. "Hey Dans?" I asked and he smiled.

"Yes my love?" Ugh, goosebumps. "Are you coming to my game tonight?" My parents were here and I wanted him to meet them but I don't know if he'll be up for it. "Of course, I wouldn't miss your senior night for the world."

"Good, but you know my parents are going to be here right?" I said and his face went pale. "Does that mean I have to meet them?" He asked and I sighed. "If you don't want to you don't have to, but I really would like you to."

He sighed and looked down at me, I was really short compared to him. "If you want me to, then I guess I have no choice but to make you happy princess." He said kissing me. I'm glad he's going to meet them. I shooed him off so I could get ready for the game.

I went over to the field after I was ready and met up with the team and then I saw my parents. "Mom, dad. I've missed you so much." I said giving both of them hugs. "We've missed you too sweetie, but where is Dansby? We are dying to meet him!" My mom said.

I should've known that's all she cared about while coming here. "Mom, tonight is my senior night, can you be happy for me first and then care about meeting Dansby?" I said while rolling my eyes.

"Oh alright, but I better be meeting him at dinner!" She said as she walked away with the other parents. I scoffed and walked over to the team. "She on your case about meeting Dansby already?" Summer asked and I nodded my head.

"I hate when she does that, she scares the guys away, but I'm sure she won't scare Dansby away." I said. "You're that confident in your relationship with him already?" She asked as we started our warm ups.

"Yeah, he's a really sweet guy, he never pressured me into being in a relationship with him, he's special." I said and she just left it at that. She's been so uptight about me with Dansby, I couldn't help but wonder what was going on in her head about that.

The pre game ceremonies started and I cried because it was the last home game and these girls have become my sisters. The game started and ended quickly as we won 4-1 over Ole Miss. I scored 2 out of the four goals and I couldn't help but hear Dansby's cheers over everyone else's.

We had our after game meeting and then I went into the locker room to get changed for dinner. (Outfit in media). I grabbed all my things and walked out to see Dansby waiting for me. He saw me and smiled and gave me a hug.

"I'm so proud of you princess." He said kissing me. "Thank you babe, ready for dinner?" I said as we were walking to his truck. "As ready as I'll ever be." He said with a smile, helping me into his very lifted truck.

"Alright, could you not have this thing so lifted?" I said as he got into the truck and he laughed. "Sorry babe, no can do." He said as he started to drive off. We reached the restaurant in no time and my parents and Dansby's parents were there too.

"What are your parents doing here?" I asked as we saw them. "To be honest with you, I have no idea." He said as we walked into the restaurant. We walked over to our parents and gave them hugs and introduced each other to our parents.

"So mom and dad, what are you doing here?" Dansby asked his parents. "Well can't we come visit our son once in awhile?" His mom said. He sighed. "No, you just normally tell me when you come and when you show up unannounced, something is wrong." He said, I hoped nothing was wrong.

"Well sweetie, we really don't think that you and Dansby should be together." My mom said. My eyes went wide. "Excuse me?" I said, very appalled at my mom right now. "We don't think you'll last. You don't know where Dansby will get drafted and then you're coming home to Atlanta to work for the Braves. It won't work."

"Wow mom, thanks for the vote of confidence when I feel like I finally found the right guy for me. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to sit in the car for the rest of dinner because I can't stand to look at you right now." I said grabbing the keys from Dansby and going out to his truck.

Not long after I left, Dansby joined me. "Why'd you  leave?" I asked as he drove off. "I agree with you. I finally found the right girl for me and I ain't giving up on you any time soon."
