Bad Intentions~Dansby Swanson

Chapter 20

MARCH 15TH, 2019 

It's already the middle of Spring Training and I hate to leave Dansby before the season starts because who knows when well see each other the most during the season, it's going to be tough being so pregnant and not having anyone to help me like Dansby can. 

I came home a couple of days ago to start the nursery with Chase and Lindsey and today, we were finishing it off and then going shopping for things that needed to go in the nursery besides the crib and dressers. 

"So how ready are to have the baby here?" Chase said as we finished up painting the nursery. I laughed and turned to him. "Very ready. He's so big, so I do hope that he comes somewhat early. Not super early like now but you know." I said and he laughed. 

"Yeah that's true but hey, Linds and I are here for you once Dansby goes on road trips and is at the ballpark. We'll even take turns staying here if you want us too." He said coming over and giving me a hug. 

"That's very sweet of the both of you and I'm sure I will need that so I will take you up on that offer." As soon as he was about to reply, my phone started ringing with Dansby's ringtone. "Hey babe!" I said as I saw down in the rocking chair. My feet were swelling up and I needed to sit. 

"How are my two babies?" He said after I put the phone on speaker so Chase could hear him. "We're just fine!" Chase said and I literally died laughing. "Chase don't do that, I'll pee if you make me laugh that hard." I said and he and Dansby both laughed. 

"Chase, I love you man but I mean my fiancé and my baby boy." He said laughing. "Dans, Max and I are just fine. I feel fat and my feet are swelling but we're just fine." I said while rubbing my huge stomach. 

"Alright well stay off your feet and don't go anywhere that will put you into labor." He said. "Well I was supposed to go shopping with your sister later, but I think that can wait." I said. "Good because I have word that someone is trying to get you and hurt you." 

Great, now this might make me go into labor stressing about stuff. "What do you mean?" He sighed. "I have eyes everywhere in Atlanta on you so I know how you're doing. Someone told me that someone has been following you around every time you leave the house. So Chase my man, I need you to go out and investigate for me and protect the two most important things in my life. I have called my parents and they are on their way to the house to stay with you. Your parents are coming too. Lindsey is out getting the things you two were supposed to get today. Send her a grocery list and she will get everything." 

I couldn't believe I had been followed every time I went out since I've been home. I don't have any enemies so I don't know who would be out to get me. "I don't have anyone to hate, who would be out to get me?" I asked, I wanted to know who it was so if I ever came face to face with them, I would know that it's them. 

"It's my ex girlfriend, or 'fake' ex girlfriend. The one I brought to your house for Christmas. She claims that she's still in love with me and wants me back from that day we were at your house." I rolled my eyes. 

"Are you serious? I have nothing to be worried about besides the baby." I said scoffing at the fact that she thinks she could hurt me. "She has eyes on you and the house. She has guns baby, you need to be worried about getting hurt." 

When he said she had guns, then I started to freak out but I didn't let it show because I knew I had to be strong. "I'll be home soon princess. I've already talked to my lawyer about getting a restraining order and have her checked out? Just please stay with everyone and be safe." 

I nodded tears now flowing down my face. "Chase, don't leave her side till someone gets home alright?" Dansby said and Chase came over and took the phone from me. "I promise you no one is going to get to Daniella and my nephew,  not on my watch." He said and I was so thankful for him in this moment. 

"You're the best bro. I love the three of you, get some rest Daniella. I love you." He said and I wiped the tears. "I love you too Dansby. Hurry home." I said and with that we hung up and I got up, or tried to without the help of Chase, but I needed help. 

I hugged him as best as I could. "I'm so thankful for you being here right now. Because who knows where I would be if you weren't here right now." I said. "I would do anything to protect you from anything. You're going to be my sister soon, I'm going to always want to protect you." 

I've never had any siblings, but that was the sweetest thing of him and of course the hormones kicked in and I started crying. "Oh shit, I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you cry." He said hugging me and I laughed. 

"It's a good cry Chase. I don't have any siblings so it's good to know that you'll be there for me like a brother should." I said as we walked down the stairs as Bentley was barking at the door. 

Chase went over to the door and looked out the window and saw it was his parents so he let them in. "Dansby called us and told us everything, are you okay?" His mom said while hugging me. "I'm fine, just feeling huge and hungry." I said with a laugh. "I make you something." She said walking into the kitchen finding things to make food with. 

Soon enough my parents had come and Lindsey came home. "Alright, I'm dropping things off and then going home to pack things and get my dog. I'll be back later alright?" She said hugging me and I nodded and she went off. 

Well this day turned off for the worst when Dansby called me, but honestly I'm glad everyone was in the house and I was surrounded by love and food. The only thing missing is Dansby.
