*Wedding Dress^^*
JANUARY 10TH, 2020
Today was the day, I was finally getting married to Dansby, something I've dreamed about ever since I met him at Vanderbilt and today is our day and nothing is going to get in our way. Except a crying Max of course, can't forget about him.
"Sweetie, you look beautiful." My dad said as he came into the room where I was getting ready. "Thanks daddy, I love you." I said giving him a hug. It wasn't right to not have my mom here, but I knew she was with me in spirit.
"Your mom would be so proud of you." He said as he started to cry and I just brought him into a hug and that made him cry even more. "Daddy, it's okay. She's in a better place now and has the best seat in the whole place, which is right on that altar with me." I said as I wiped his tears.
"I know, I just miss her so much." He said. "I know daddy, I miss her too, but we can't focus on her today, it's my day." I said with a laugh and he did too. "Yes sweetie, it is your day. Finish getting ready and let's get this show on the road." He said leaving me be.
I sighed and looked myself over in the mirror and fixing my makeup that I had just somewhat cried off with my dad. "Alright mom, be there for me through this whole thing and make sure I don't trip." I whispered picking up my flowers and going into the hallway where my bridesmaids and dad were waiting for me.
All the girls told me how beautiful I looked, but their opinions didn't matter to me right now, all I wanted to do was get down the aisle to Dansby and finally become a Swanson. I finally wanted to have the same last name as my soon so it actually looked like I was his mother.
The music started and the girls went one by one and then it was my turn and everyone stood up and my dad and I made our way down the aisle. "He's beaming, look at him." My dad whispered to me and I looked up and locked eyes with Dansby.
He had tears rolling down his cheeks and I shed a few too. I was beyond lucky to finally get to call him my husband and by the looks of it, he was lucky to get to call me his wife. Nonetheless, both of us had the biggest smiles on our faces with tears in our eyes.
My dad kissed me on the cheek and hugged me before shaking Dansby's hand and then handing me off to Dansby. "You look so god damn beautiful." He whispered to me and I laughed a little. "You look so handsome in your tux." I said back and then the priest started the ceremony.
"The couple has chosen to write their own vows. Dansby, you're up first." He said and he took a piece of paper our from his jacket and took a deep breath. "Daniella, where do I start with you? It's been a long and crazy journey, so I can't fit all of the words that I want to say into like two minutes, unless you guys have an hour?" He said to the crowd and they laughed.
"Okay baby, that day when I saw you in class at Vandy, it was probably the best day of my life. I couldn't believe that in my four years of being there I didn't find you until our last. Obviously it was fate, some would say that, but it was definitely love at first sight, for me anyway. When I lost you when I was in Cabo and you were here in Atlanta, I knew I was the worst person in the world for doing what I did to you. But when you took me back, I knew that I didn't have any more chances to screw it up, so I had to make it right. I know some said I proposed to you too early, but I didn't care, I just knew I had to make you mine. When we had Max, I was on top of the world, I couldn't have asked for a better mother for my son. I love you with all my heart and nothing or no one is ever going to change how I feel about you."
I wiped a few tears from my face as I got my own paper. "Dansby Dansby Dansby. Where do I begin with our life together? Vandy was the best thing to happen to me when I met you. I had the best senior year there with you. After Vandy, we hit a rough spot, thank god for Freddie because god knows where I would be right now. When you got traded to the Braves, I knew we were meant to be together forever. It was a sign that you and I were supposed to get back together and have our little baby boy. He looks so much like you, it's kind of scary. Dansby, with everything that's happened this past year, I can't thank you enough for being by my side and helping me through the toughest of times in my life. I can't wait to build more memories with you and grow our family. I love you Dansby."
He wiped tears from his face and there wasn't a dry eye in the house and we joined hands again and did the church vows and put the rings on each others fingers. "I know pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss your bride." He said.
Dansby gave me his smirk and crashed his lips onto mine. I don't think everyone wanted to see a make-out session between the two of us, but they didn't get a choice because of Dansby. I took my flowers from Chelsea and took Dansby's hand and we walked out of the church and into the limo that was going to take us to take pictures.
"I can't believe we're married." Dansby said kissing the back of my hand which was intertwined with his. "I know I can't believe it either. But guess what?" I said. "What babe?" He asked looking at me.
"We have the rest of our lives together and Max and with our other little ones that we're going to have one day and Bentley and however many dogs were going to have." I said and he laughed. "Yes that is true Daniella. I love you Mrs. Swanson. God I could get used to saying that."
"I could get used to hearing that, I love you too Dansby."
A/N: The end! I love all of you for sticking through this story and with Daniella and Dansby's relationship! You're the best!
