After our quick encounter with the street thugs, we continued on our journey for another orb. Our travels took us to the front doors of some sort of a school.

"Do you think the orb could be hidden in there?" Eghosa asked me.

"No clue. But it seems as good of a place as any to check," I shrugged. We walked up to the front doors and peeked inside through the windows. Our first observation was that it appeared to be inbetween classes, as the hallways were quite clear. But we also made another observation.

It was an all-girls school.

"Huh. I wonder why they separate by sex here," Eghosa said to what was probably herself.

I didn't say anything in reply. Instead, I pulled on the doorknob to let us in, but the door was locked.

"Figures as much," I said. We searched around the building for another way of possibly getting inside, and found a window shortly after that led to an unoccupied room. Eghosa and I crawled inside (with some difficulty), and took a look at our surroundings.

"Looks like a classroom to me," I observed.

"Man, how much closer to Earth can these guys be?" Eghosa marvelled. "Even their education system isn't that vastly different."

"I personally wonder what subjects they teach here," I wondered. "But we're getting off track here. We have an orb to find, so let's get hunting."

Eghosa just so happened to be one step ahead of me, however. She was glaring outside of the door's window at a person walking by. "That man, he's carrying a bag and it's glowing."

"I say we follow him."

"I say I agree."

So the two of us walked out and began trailing behind the man closely. He appeared to be in his fifties or sixties, and also seemed to be a janitor. We followed him until we came across the janitor's closet. He set his bag in front of the door and opened the door, presumably to look inside for something.

"I'm going in," I told Eghosa. I tip-toed over to the bag, reached inside, and pulled out the shiny orb.

"Well, that wasn't too bad," I muttered as I walked back to Eghosa.

The two of us were beginning to walk away when a booming voice behind us yelled out, "GET BACK HERE WITH MY ORB!"

Eghosa and I turned around to find the janitor glaring at us angrily. "You think you can just barge into this school, stalk me, and steal my orb?"

"Sir, we kinda need this orb-" Eghosa started to say, but the janitor cut her off.

"I could have you arrested for this! Unless, of course... you wanna fight for it."

Normally, I'd immediately turn down this offer.

But this was no normal time.

"Bring it on."

Eghosa

By this point, a crowd has formed around us, interested to see the battle between Heath and the janitor. The janitor had taken off his jacket to reveal a grey tank top, and surprisingly big muscles.

"Get 'em, Heath!" I cheered.

The fight immediately began with the janitor leaping on Heath, tackling him and bringing him to the ground. It wasn't looking good at first.

Thankfully, the janitor didn't know Heath had his gun on him. The janitor got out a knife and lunged it at Heath's chest, preparing to strike, but Heath had just enough time to do a quickdraw on the janitor, shooting him right in the stomach. Blood began flowing, collecting into a puddle as the janitor fell over. Heath scrambled off of the ground as the janitor began coughing. Blood spurted from his mouth. There was blood everywhere. It was an extremely gruesome scene.

And then, just like that, the man's breathing seized, and he was dead.

Music: Sensation from Salamander 2

I ran over to Heath to help him up onto his feet, and it was just then that we took notice of the huge crowd that had formed around us.

"Um... sorry?" I said sheepishly.

Then all the girls began applauding. Some were even cheering. Even a few teachers were in the crowd, clapping.

"What the hell is going on?" Heath asked.

A man whose nametag deemed him as the principal walked forward to us. "That janitor was quite the terrible fellow. He's raped several girls at this school, but anyone who tried to arrest him would just be told that he had an orb and would destroy it if anybody tried to take him away. And now our ordeal with him is finally over!"

One of the girls took my hand and raised it up, and another took Heath's and did the same. My girl yelled, "THREE CHEERS FOR HEATH AND..." then whispered to me, "What's your name?"

"Eghosa."
"AND EGHOSA!" The crowd did a cheesy "hip, hip, hooray" three times, and then let us go.

"Hey, we've actually been looking for the five orbs, so do you mind if we take this one?" I asked the principal after the girls began walking back to their classes.

"Why, of course! You earned it for saving our school from such a terrible being," the principal told us, smiling. "Now, run along, you two!"

Heath and I then exited the school. As soon as we ventured back into the trees, I said quite loudly, "Well, that was quite unexpected."

"Yeah," Heath replied. "The way they congratulated us is so old."

"Maybe this planet hasn't heard of better ways yet," I smirked. Heath and I both cracked up at that. Once we calmed down, Heath suggested, "Alright, let's get a move on."

And so, the two of us left, hoping to once again find another orb or maybe even find some of our other friends.

Pretty lit chapter imo. Also, I've kinda been procrastinating with this story... I haven't started the next chapter yet... yeah, I should probably start that soon.
