Ahhh, it's Monday. Finally, I'll be reunited with Chris! Sigh, I sound so corny now. I have to stop reading romance stuff.
I am halfway through a Nora Roberts book, so I decided to bring it to school. I had only two hundred something pages, so yeah I'll be done in no time.
I walk into the classroom and quickly scan the room before I'm absolutely sure that Christopher isn't here. I sit at my desk and unpack my bag, thinking about what should I do today. Should I ask Chris if he wants to go out? Should I try to impress him again? Hmm
“Alex, Hey!” I glance at my side. It's Anthony. Just lovely.
“Oh, hey. What's up?”
“Did you ask Chris out? Like on Friday?”
“Uhhh, yeah, maybe. I just asked if he liked me. Not that I don't trust what you told me, it's just that-” He cut me off.
“Yeah, well now he's telling everyone that you're his girlfriend.”
“What?! Really?!” Someone is actually bragging about me being their girlfriend!!! This is AMAZING! I can't help smiling like a complete fool.
“Yeah, he just arrived and is gloating, move than ever. And look he's here.” I look up to see Christopher strolling in like he's a real cool joe.
“Hi Anthony. Hi, Alexandra! What are you two talking about?” Oh, no. I sense trouble coming. I should say something before Anthony does.
“Oh, nothing. Hey, nice coat. Where did you get it?” He looks down at his coat which is a moderate shade of gray and has black guitars, skulls, and white angel wings. I was being honest. It really did look like a nice coat. “Oh, I don't know. My mom bought it.”
“Oh...” I can't think of anything else to say.
RINNNGGG!!!
Whew! Saved by the bell. The teacher yells for everyone to take their seats. Chris sits down and soon the intercom goes on. “Today's lunch is pasta, bread stick, and.....” Boring.
Anthony turns around and whispers to me, “Nice save, back there.”
“Oh, thanks.” I blush.
Maybe today will really be a great day.
