Dear Angie,
I am excited. We have an idea. An idea that could potentially change the fate of mankind. No, it could potentially change everything we know or think, and I don't think that I could have ever thought of such a brilliant idea without Marius.
We met at the public library to brainstorm ideas. I didn't want him to meet my mother, and it appears that he does not want me to know anything about his family either. He was already waiting for me the moment I stepped in. His literally jumped up, and met me with a sort of childish eagerness. There was excitement shining in his chocolate brown eyes, and he looked adorable. Than, he said, "What do you say we make a new life?"
I admit that I was confused at first, but than he sat me down and started talking about it. His idea was rough, yes, but it was still.... logical. There was a flaws in our idea, but we mended it slowly. I had suggested placing the organisms in a 'Mother Cell', or an empty bacteria, and I of course, coreected some of his disgraceful Science speculations. It, of course, isn't perfect, but it's beautiful nonetheless.
I cannot wait, Angie.
Perhaps Marius won't be a distraction after all. I can't hold this in anymore. I'm going to and call Marius, bring our meeting forward
Science waits for no one.
Love,
Lia.

Dear Angie,
The dreams are back, and they're worse than before. I was wrong, Ang. Marius isn't the best thing to be around. And this time... It wasn't pure ecstasy. When I woke up... I was horrified.
The Dream:
My eyelids fly open. I am in bed, and there are warm arms around me. I shift my head slightly to see Marius sleeping next to me. His glasses are off, and he looks... different. Older, more mature. I look down to find myself fully clothed.
I take in my surroundings. I'm in my room. How? I strain my ears, but I cannot hear anything. No Ma, no Fiona.
I untangle Matari's arms gently. He stirs, but he does not wake up. His arms clutch my pillows, as if he was looking for a substitute for my body.
I creep out as quietly as I can, closing the door softly behind me. I open the door to Fiona's room. No one.
Next, I go to Ma's room. Her room is in disarray. The beads of her rosary lie messily on the floor. The crucifix is broken into two. Her bed has been rumpled. Her dresser, rummaged. I start to panic.
"Ma? Fiona?" I call out softly.
"Lia?" Marius's familiar voice calls my name. "Emilia?" his voice is more urgent this time, laced with concern.
"Here."
He opens the door to Ma's room, his hair messy. He yawns, leaning against the door frame. "What are you doing up so early?"
"Can't sleep," my eyes are trained to the ground.
He walks towards me, wrapping his arms around my waist and leaning his head against my shoulder blade. "I hope you don't regret anything. We just made them pay for what they did."
My dream self is not confused. I am detached from my movements. "I know...."
"We are two sides of the same coin," he whispers in my ear. "I gave you what you need. You gave me what I've wanted in a long time."
"And what was that?" my tone is teasing, light.
"Someone who was like me. Someone who understood." His words sends butterflies in my stomach. "I have a surprise for you."
"Oh?"
"I read your little diary," I stiffen. "It wasn't right of me, but... I couldn't help it. I'm sorry."
"It's okay."
He tugs my hand, and I follow him. "After you're done, we can burn down the house and go." He leads me down to the basement, and flicks on the light.
Someone lays limply on the chair. A female, by the looks of it. Her wrists and ankles are bound by pieces of rope. Her face is covered by a black cloth bag. There are two garbage bags on the floor, with red blood leaking out of one of them.
"Marius?" I whisper, half in excitement and anticipation, and half in fear.
He smiles and winks at me, releasing my hand and walking towards the body. He pulls away the black cloth bag.
The female's eyelids fly open, her dark blue eyes so startlingly similar to Lenoir's. "Emilia?" her voice cracks.
"Claire?"
The dreams ends on that note. I have no time to process my emotions. Do I hate Claire? Is that why I'm having this dream? No, no. It cannot be. I love Claire more than anything in the world. She's like some sister that I never found in Fiona.
Marius. It has to be Marius.
No, no NO! That is not logical. I just met him. We aren't even romantically involved.
Breathe, Emilia. Breathe. I'm just overreacting, aren't I, Angelissa?
Love,
Lia.
Their idea is based on the ideas of the wonderful scientist Craig Ventor. I'm on a role people! I'm half in love with the idea of Marlia! Yes, that is their new shipping name. Marlia!!!! Damn, that sounds like a mermaid. Emirius? What do you guys think? Should I pair Marius up with Emilia? Or should they just be friends? Or enemies? That prospect would be exciting. Or do you think I should pair Lia up with someone else? It can be incestuous if you want it to be ;)
