After eating breakfast with Aunt Wilma, she took me to the high school; Jefferson Memorial. I stepped out of the car and made my way down to the Man Office. I couldn't help but see the people staring back at me. Once I entered the building, a tall, red haired lady greeted me. She look liked she was in her mid-forties.
"Hello, you must be Penelope Sky." she said I nodded and shaked her hand when she brought hers up.
"Hi, that's me." I muttered
"I am your principle, Mrs. Ronalds. Now let's go get you situated and bring up your schedule." I followed her into her office and was headed to my first class. Chemistry, great.
The bell already rung while I pulled open the door and entered the classroom. Twenty heads rose and looked at me. I headed over to the teacher's desk. He glanced at me and said,
"Class this is our new student, Penelope. Now I wan't you all to make her feel comfortable and welcome. Sit where ever there is an empty seat."
I made my way to the back of the room where an open seat was next to a boy. His brown hair was shaggy and did little to cover his face. But something about his eyes caught me. Their blue, moonlight like color appeared to grab me. Over all, he sure was cute. He greeted me when I slid into my chair and I responded with a wave.
Through the 90 minutes of class, I couldn't help but think about his eyes. They seemed to understand everything I am. Like they new all of my secrets; like he knew everything about me. Every time I took a peak at him, I caught him staring right back at me. When the bell rang he stormed right out of the room. I had this overwhelming feeling to grab him and keep him right next to me. The way he looked at me made me feel that I'm worth the effort; and I don't even know his name.
