Altered

~Really?

As soon as I enter the hallway I see Gigi coming straight for me.

"HIII!!" she sings at the top of her lungs, making everyone turn their heads toward us.

"Hey." I say not as excited as her but more than I anticipated would be.

"Is Hayden still inside?" she asks.

"You know Hayden? Um, no he just left." I shook my head. Of course she knew Hayden, she was brilliant and gorgeous.

"Yeah. Me and Hayden have been friends since, like, preschool. Were neighbors too." she says with a smile on her face with also a look of reliving a memory. She broke off when she caught me staring at her, she must have saw the look on my face.

"Oh, we've never been together, together or anything like that but we've been through a lot, that's all. We tell each other ever- wait! You're her aren't you!!!?" she snaps and this excited expression on her face.

"I'm who?" I ask confused of what just happened on the change of subject.

"The girl he was talking about on the phone yesterday." she says then begins to mutter to herself about how she should have known the moment she met me this morning.

"I don't know what your talking about." I say. I begin to have the butterfly feeling in my stomach. The flutter of all emotions soaring through me; my bloodstream tingled with the sensation which filled my whole body within seconds. He talked about me? Or at least she thought he did, but still the probability still made me think and get lost of the thought of his moonlight eyes.

"Umm, I need to really talk to Hayden now!" she said releasing a giggle.

"Ok?" I said releasing a giggle of my own. She smiled and it reached her eyes and then some

"Is it that noticeable?" I ask releasing the smile that I get every time I think about him.

"Uhh Yeah!!! OMG Penelope your like head over heels at the moment! I'm so happy for you. Geesh I wonder how you are when your next to him!!" she laughs as we make our way through the hall.

"Yeah, you should see me. A nervous wreck." Gigi and I begin to laugh at the saying.

"Well, just be you, you are an amazing person even if don't see it." she says, almost bringing me to tears. Lately I haven't exactly been myself yet they refuse to let the isolation get the best of them due to all my grief for Billie.

"Thanks." I mutter.

"You wan't to know something weird?" she asks.

"What?"

"Hayden never had a girlfriend. Come to think of it he really never had a crush. I mean with all these girls in school drooling over him, he would go out with one, but no."

"That is weird." I say confused on someone so perfect looking as him wouldn't go out with anyone, especially the girls here are 10 times prettier than she is.

"Yeah, um, I gotta go, catcha later." she says and storms away with the look of determination on her voice and set for confrontation.

I hope this day doesn't get any more confuser than it already has,while walking to her next class.
