After the bell rang, I turned to join the students walking to the exit of the cafeteria. All that came through mind was, already, on the first day of school I have this strong overwhelming feeling for this one guy named Hayden and made a new friend because he wanted to be my friend. Wow, for the first time I feel different; that a newly improved, stronger Penelope is emerging. I kept my sight in front of me and let the thoughts of everything come through my mind. Then, everything in my hands; my journal and my textbook go flying to the ground. All of my inked pages in the journal began to flutter down. I swear under my breath and dropped to the floor and tried to rescue every page before they are getting trampled by the whole student body. Suddenly, my hand is met by another hand; I look up to find a pair of moonlight eyes, once again. staring at me. And they can only belong to one person; Hayden. I froze. Here I am tring to get my whole life on these pages off the floor and go to my next class when here  I am looking at the most handsome intriguing guy in the whole world.

"Hey, you alright?" he asks.

"Ye-es." I stutter and my face flushes in embarrassment. He smiles the most beautiful smile in the world. His white teeth sparkle. I can't help but doing the same; putting the best smile on my face not by force but simply because I wan't too; out of pure happiness.  And doesn't compare one bit to his radiant smile. With his eyes locked on mine the silence has a billion words being said without us saying a single word. I continue to pick up the rest of the sheets and place them in a folder for safe keeping. He takes a peak at one of the papers.

"Are these poems?" he asks. Great now he probably thinks I'm a freak. I knew it was to good to be true.

"Yes, they are. Do you mind if I can have them back please?" It sounds more of  a command than a question.

"That's amazing. I love poetry. But I can never seem to get the words out on paper; I just can't find the right words." he admits. I eat my own words. This amazing popular guy is right in front of me and he has a thing for poetry? I pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming. I'm not.

"Really? Well, it really just takes some courage to whip up the right amount of emotions and write the first words that come to mind even if they don't make sense." I tell him. Again he looks at me with knowing eyes. I stand up; he does the same.

"Interesting thanks for the tip." he grins. "Oh, and I'm Hayden. Were lab partners in Chemistry together, sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier; I'm a little shy." He shoves something into his pocket but I'm to busy staring into his eyes not believing whats happening to me.

"Oh its fine. Umm well see you later , I guess?" I said. I began to notice all the eyes in our direction.

"Yea, I'll see you later, bye Penelope." He turned and walked away with his hands in his pockets. And once again I'm casted under his spell. The way he said my name was such an amazing thing. Like he was meant to say my name.
