Chapter 6 - Illness Gets Worse

Shadow's POV

(Y/N) has been extremely helpful these past few days. She's been bringing meals to my room, cleaning my room and a lot of other stuff.

I cannot take my eyes off of (Y/N)... She looks so sexy and beautiful... She is also really caring and loving. She cares so much about her family. I think I'm possibly falling for her...

I was walking past her room, when I suddenly heard sobbing. I knocked on her door and walked in when she answered.

"(Y/N)? What's wrong?"

She looked up at me with eyes filled with tears. "Shadow... My mom, I need to see her..."
"I'll ask a guard to take you to see them. And I'll come with you."

"Really..? Thank you so much, Shadow... "

She suddenly threw her arms around me and hugged me. My eyes widened and my face heated up as I hugged her back. I'm definitely in love with her, and I don't even know her that well.

I told the guard to take us to her family's home. Her brother, Sonic, greeted us as we entered. He looked like he had just recovered from a panic attack.

Your POV

"Sonic, where is she?!"

His eyes were red and puffy from crying as he led us to the room where our mother was and Manic and Sonia were beside her, tears streaming down their faces. I stared at her state in horror. She was deathly pale, thin and her eyes were dull.

"Mom... "

"(Y/N)... Is that you...?"

"Yes, mom... It's me... "

I can tell that her sight is failing miserably. That information saddens me even more. Hot tears were falling from my eyes. Her sickness is getting worse and worse.

"(Y/N)... We've run out of money. We don't have medication for her..."

"No... "

I was about to cry out loudly, when I felt a strong hand on my shoulder. I looked over my shoulder to see Shadow there with sympathy in his crimson eyes.

"I'll pay for the medicine."

All of us turned to stare at him.

"Are you serious?"

"You would do that for us...?"

He nodded and all of us began to cry with joy

I hugged him tightly and he hugged back.

"Thank you so much, Shadow. It means so much to us all... "

Everyone nodded in agreement

I'm so thankful that we met Shadow. He is so kind and thoughtful to us. I'd definitely be lying if I said that I'm not falling for him.
