TUCKER X READER

“So, uh… Welcome to the canyon.”
You were greeted by Church.
“Thanks.” You said with heavy sarcasm, and immediately head back inside the base. You'd been here for 3 weeks already, and yet they'd only just realized that they never welcomed you. They sort of just got used to having you around. As soon as Church realized this, he insisted that they go outside and pretend like you'd just arrived, so they could welcome you properly. You didn't care either way, but he was your unnoficial leader, so you didn't argue.
You liked the people in the canyon. You were friends with all your team members, and even got along with some of the reds on occasion. Tucker never ceased flirting with you, but you felt you were closest to him. So you didn't have any problems with being in the canyon, except for how boring it was sometimes. But a few jokes and the occasional pick-up line from Tucker was enough to entertain you.
In fact, the only issue you had was that none of them would ever stop bickering. Their voices only got louder, even though you were behind heavy metal walls.
After a while, they finally quieted down. “Hey y/n.” Somebody tapped on your door. It sounded like Church. “Scouting mission in ten minutes.”
“Alright!” You called back, and pulled your sniper rifle out of your closet, which you'd turned into a miniature armory.
You head outside and wait by the entrance to the base. Caboose was already there, and you greeted him with a nod.
“Hello scary lady!” He gave you a short wave and sat down on the ground, waiting for everyone else to come out.
Another ten minutes had passed, and you head inside the base. “What the fuck are you guys doing in here?” You asked, kicking open the door to your leader’s room. Both of your teammates were arguing like children, shouting in each other’s faces with their hands balled into fists.
“Church is being a whiny bitch.” Tucker complained.
“Tucker’s being an annoying asshole!” Church accused.
“I’ve been waiting outside with Caboose for over twenty fucking minutes.” You crossed your arms. “What is this argument about?”
You regretted asking that question. After two hours of arguing and shouting, they both finally summarized the argument, and were able to agree on how the argument started.
“Church, you’re a whiny bitch.” You confirmed. Tucker began to cheer, but then you turned towards him. “And Tucker, you’re an annoying asshole. Now Caboose has been waiting out there for over two hours, and we’ve probably missed whatever the reds were doing. So let’s just go up to the cliffs and get this shit over with.”
You stomped outside, and they both followed you silently.
Now, on the cliffs, they started their stupid arguing again.
It all started when Tucker asked, “What do you see?”
You turned towards Church, who looked extremely pissed off by the question. “Tucker, you ask that every single time we’re up here!”
“Well I can’t see shit! Can’t you let me use your sniper rifle once?”
“No! I can’t!”
“Why not?” You interrupted, tired of this argument. It happened every time they were both on the ledge. “If you get annoyed whenever he asks that question, why don’t you just let him use it for once?"
“Because then I won’t be able to see anything, and I’ll have to ask that stupid question!” Church explained.
“Fine, then. Tucker, you can use mine, just this once.” You took your rifle off your back and held it out to him. He looked at you like you were a God/Goddess, before accepting it.
“No fucking way! This shit’s so cool! Thanks, y/n!” He held the scope up to his eye and looked around, pointing it in all directions. You ducked when the barrel almost hit you in the head.
“That’s another reason why I never let him use it.” Church grumbled. “Hey moron, stop pointing that shit at me!” He shouted when the gun almost hit him in the side of the head.
“How do you make it zoom in?” Tucker asked, lowering the gun so he could examine it.
“First of all, stop holding it like that, and get your finger off the trigger before you shoot someone.” You stepped forward, raising the rifle slightly and moving his hands to support the gun better.
“Ok, got it. Now what?” He asked, pointing it out towards the red base.
“Now you point it towards where you want to look, like red base… and push this button.” You pointed to a button on the underneath of the rifle, which he eagerly pressed.
“Oh, shit. This is so fucking awesome! Now how do I find the reds?” Tucker began turning the gun around wildly, as if it would suddenly focus on the enemies.
You chuckled slightly and stepped behind him, trying to look through the scope as you slowly inched the rifle to the left. “You’ve got to go slower than that. Eventually, you’ll see them if you look around long enough.” You saw a flash of bright red, and lifted the gun again. “There. Now, you can see their sergeant.”
“Damn, y/n. If you wanted to get this close to me, you could’ve just asked.” Tucker teased, as he closed one eye to look through the scope better.
After his comment, you quickly realized how close you’d gotten to him while you were trying to set up the gun. You've had a crush on him ever since you arrived and gotten your first flirty remark from him, but you'd never actually been this close to him before. It made your heart pound against your chest. You took a quick step back, hoping he wouldn't notice that you were trying to stop yourself from making out with him.
He didn’t seem to notice how much the comment had embarrassed you, because he raised his head as you backed away.
“I didn’t say that I didn’t like it.” He laughed, and your face turned bright red. It was definitely time for pay back.
“Church was right.” You crossed your arms. “You really are an annoying asshole.”
“Huh?”
You draped both your arms around his shoulders, then kissed him warmly before pulling back and giving him a wink. “But now you’re my annoying asshole.”
Tucker stuttered like an idiot, Church made a disguested noise, and Caboose covered his eyes. “Get a room you two.” Church complained.
"Gladly."
