Alike and Different?

Takano's POV

That little shit. Who does he think he is? I can do whatever the hell I want. I walked out of the restroom walking back to the department. I was suddenly stopped by Hatori who was just getting back from the mangaka's place.

"Takano-san, I have the manuscript from Chiaki. He managed to finish it in time for next month's release."

"Good. That's one less thing we have to take care of." He walks down to Emerald but then gasps of excitement began to fill up and echo within the hallway.

Wonder what's going on but to be honest, I don't really care. Fuck! I forgot there was a meeting today. Frikin Onodera shouldn't have gone to the bathroom in the first place.

I later quickened my pace into the room we were going to meet in. No one is here. Did I get the time wrong? Turning back to Emerald, I saw a man with silver hair running for some reason. Was he running from something? Yes. He was running from Isaka-san. That guy is annoying as heck.

"Oi. Get in here." I was never really generous like this but something told me that this guy just needed to be saved from a creature named Isaka.

He followed me in and we both closed the door with force. Lucky for us, the room was empty and the room was close to a corner to where he could not see us disappear into. 

"Oi. Are you okay?" I asked even though it was none of my business. "Yeah. Thank you."

This guy seems familiar but I can't really put my finger on it. 

Usagi's POV

I finally arrived at Marukawa Shoten. This is a first since I normally want to stay away from this place. But today is different since Misaki may be hurt.  As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by many smiling faces and excitement that I wanted to kill myself instantly. I ignored them all since I had no interest in them. I only came for Misaki, not to be praised by you.

 I reached the front desk, only to be congratulated by the lady up front. "Congratulations on your last award!" She smiles at me but I ignore her comment.

"Recently today, a boy by the name of Misaki Takahashi came in and asked for his position in Marukawa. Can you tell me where he is?" She told me that she was talking to him earlier about the plans for him. As she continued to talk, a familiar voice that I wanted to get away from so badly came running towards me.

"Ah...Usami! Glad you're here since I wanted to tell you personally about drinking party I had arranged for us. Congratulations on your last award. Let's celebrate at-WAIT GET BACK HERE!"

I walked away from him quickening my pace as his footsteps grew closer. This guy is so damn annoying. Can he leave me alone for once! Is that too much to ask for?"

Running through the hallways has gotten me nowhere until a man at the last hallway yelled at me to get inside a conference room. "Oi. Get in here!" I immediately start to run faster and ran past him, panting for breath. He closed the door with a face of "I've been there too."

Third Person's POV 

After Usagi finally caught his breath, he stared back at the stranger thinking why he would help him. Takano's eyes began to widen when he realized who he just saved.

"You're the novelist Usami Akihiko aren't you?" He asked with no emotion. "And what if I am?" He responded. "Nothing special to be honest. Fame isn't my forte and I'm not the person to congratulate others or follow others." Takano says.

"My name is Masamune Takano, by the way. This room was originally supposed to be for a meeting but right now its a bunker. I got the times mixed up, which is pretty rare for me."

"I'm Usami Akihiko. I've heard of you before. You were the one who brought the Emerald department from a deep hole or something." 

"It wasn't hard as long as you do your work. No time to slack off. If people have time to relax, they could finish next month's issue. That was the problem in the first place when authors decided to slack off."

"You're an editor of manga, right?"

"Yeah. Shoujo manga to be exact."

"Well, I normally don't ask for help, but a boy this high with brown hair and emerald eyes is somewhere in this building. I'm trying to find him."

Takano looked puzzled thinking he was talking about Ritsu. He wanted to lead him somewhere else instead of the direction he went. He then realized that he had no idea where Ritsu went. 

"No, but I am also looking for someone who you just described." Both men crossed their arms thinking he was going to get my lover. "Why don't we search for them? If they both work for manga, then they are most likely on the third floor."

"Okay, but we must not be seen by Isaka or else he will drag us to a pointless drinking party."

Both men poked their heads out of the door to see if Isaka was waiting for them or roaming in the hallways. They snuck out and ran straight to the elevator clicking the third button. 

An Awkward silence fills the elevator as they stared at each other. "Who's this guy you're looking for?" Takano asks.

"Misaki Takahashi. He applied for Marukawa and got the position of an editor but they have not decided which manga he should work for. Honestly, he should have stayed home and work for me." Usagi rolls his eyes and asks Takano "Who're you looking for?"

Takano answers "Onodera Ritsu. He freaking ran from me when we were in the bathroom. Stupid brat. I did not even see where he went."

"I've heard of him before. He was a newbie when he first started editing asking me questions about hardcover books. It was a long time ago but he was interested in literature. Why girl's manga?" Usagi asks.

"I'm guessing he's building up the courage to tell me he loves me. He had opportunities to transfer but never really went." Takano says while he thinks back to the time he almost confessed.

"I'm waiting for that as well. Unlike you, Misaki told me he loved me once but never says it as much. That pisses me off about him." Usagi says. 

The elevator beeps and they both step out of the elevator door. Once they stepped out of the elevator, they saw pieces of glass and piles of paper on the floor.

They soon find their Uke's holding hands, misreading the situation.
