Third Person's POV
What a nice day. The sun is shining more than usual and- you know what, it ain't a good god damn day today for Emerald. It's days like this that start of Hell Week off to a 'good' start. Emerald is currently struggling to finish a popular author's manuscript and are succeeding...so far. Just one damn day can cause so much pain for anyone.
"Misaki. Why didn't you say anything this morning?" Takano was glaring at Misaki.
"Well, we were all busy so I didn't feel the need to eat..."
"No. You need to eat, especially when you're working in Emerald. This guy passed out in front of the President because his diet consisted of nothing but energy drinks and frozen lunches."
"I know that was a mistake but you don't need to tell him that!" Onodera growls.
Misaki hadn't had anything to eat this morning because of the Shokugeki with Hatori. He had too much fun with it that he completely forgot to eat, which caused him to have slight headaches and trouble moving. He eventually had a snack but he still needed to eat more once he got home.
"JUST TWO MORE PAGES TO GO!!!" Onodera practically yells with excitement, causing everyone to glare at him. "Sorry..." He sits back down to continue working on the pages he had to do. Everyone was getting headaches easily with the way he yelled.
The room they were currently working in had Misaki, Takano, Onodera, and two other female editors; Lina and Kirei. They both worked for the author and needed to help Emerald with both the magazine and manuscript. Kisa was forced out of the room because his author needed as much help to finish her manuscript. She basically threatened him to get to the editing room as soon as possible. Kisa knew better than to argue with her, so he went.
"Jeez Onodera, we're trying to get some work done. We don't need headaches right now." Onodera rolls his eyes in annoyance.
"I did say sorry. What, you guys don't get excited from time to time?" Everyone just gives him the death glare. They also give him the face of 'does it look like we do?' Misaki sighs as he saw his friend sink into his chair. On the other hand, he was relieved to see that he was almost done with the other pages he was assigned to correct. He, however, was unsure if his corrections were right. Should I ask him to check this? He is the editor-in-chief after all.
With great hesitation, he asks Takano in a pleasing tone to not disturb him too much. He was sitting two desks away from his, correcting some of the pages as well. "Takano-san, could you please check these pages? If you're not too busy, that is. I'm just unsure if these corrections are...correct." Takano takes the papers he was working on and sets them down.
"Bring it here." Misaki hurriedly approached his desk and hands him the pages. Anticipation fills Misaki as he watches Takano with anxious eyes. This is my first day and I don't want to screw it up. It seemed forever but he finally spoke up. "Nice job. You are way better than that noobie Onodera."
Misaki sprints in joy knowing he achieved something right. "Really! That's a relief."
"See! You get excited too!! But I am not a noob!"
"Notify the author of these changes." Takano hands him a piece of paper with the author's home phone written on it. Actually, who's the author that were working for right now exactly?
"Eh...who's the author of this manga exactly?" He asked quietly as he tries to not sound as stupid. Takano's vein popped on his head.
"BAKA!" He hits him with a roll of paper he had in his hands. "YOU'RE AS USELESS AS ONODERA! THE DAMN AUTHOR IS AIKONA-SENSEI! THE THIRD POPULAR SHOUJO MANGAKA IN JAPAN! YOU FINISHED HER CORRECTIONS AND YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO SHE IS!?!" Misaki stood up straight and apologized to Takano.
