Ambitious Lies (Teacher/Student)

Chapter 2

London on a crisp Monday morning is a nightmare! Trying to work your way through the endless hordes of travellers, salesmen and woman and the insane amount of traffic! Christian Hunter pushed through the morning rush with a spring in his step. Today was the first day of a new school year and after finally accepting a position within the school, Christian will be teaching young people, not something he is particularly happy about. After leaving the police force two years ago due to family issues, the head at Queens College had urged him to join as teacher of law. Christian is Twenty nine, tanned, muscular and not to mention, very handsome.

Catching the eye of a pretty woman walking her dog beside him, he smirks, knowing his effect on women entertains him. He pauses by the newspaper stand beside the college campus, picking up the Daily Star , Charity graces the cover under the headline

‘My adventure into education’

Christian shakes his head in disbelief. This is the new girl in his class, the one that has the entire school in panic and awe for her arrival. He glances at her photo taking in her understated beauty, its not a wild guess to assume that she wouldn’t have gotten as far as she had within the modelling industry without the assistance of her late fathers fame. Jimmi Taylor was amazing, he was the leader of a rock and roll revolution. Christian shook his head and replaced the newspaper on the stand and carried on walking, his head filled with the trials of the day ahead.

He entered Queens County campus, nodding a hello to the cure receptionist as he strode into the Deans office without knocking.

“Morning Andy” He announced cheerfully. “When does the babysitting start?” H announced with a hint of bitterness.

Andy, a distinguished man in his late forties glanced up from his mountain of paperwork that’s littered across his impressive looking desk. He rolls his eyes at the appearance of Christian.

“It is not babysitting Christian, Ms Taylor has enrolled on one of our courses here at Queens, We will reat her like any other student” Andy sighed as moved aside his paperwork, resting his elbows on the desk he ran his hand through his greying hair.

Christian pulled up a chair and sat down in front of Andy “What normal student has a security detail?! It’s going to be a nightmare and you know it Andy!” Christian complained.

A knock on the door interrupted Andy’s chance of a reply “Come in” Andy commanded irritably. Jason and Eric entered nodding to Andy.

“Good morning Mr States, We had an appointment to discuss Ms Taylor’s Lesson plan and security detail”

Andy sighs, feeling Christians eyes on him, and assuming a smirk is playing across his lips. “ Of course gentleman, take a seat, This is Christian Hunter, he will be Ms Taylor’s Homeroom teacher and study co-ordinator for this school year”

Jason eyes up Christian suspiciously as Eric idly examines his fingernail, seemingly unaware of the tension in the room. “So, are you aware of Charity’s special circumstances?” Jason inquires directly to Christian.

Christians lets out a short laugh and sits forward in his chair slightly, a look of amusement playing across his face. “Special Circumstances? I will treat her as I do any other student, within these walls she her needs will not exceed another’s as far as I am concerned”

Jason shocked expression was quickly replaced by a look of anger as he studied Christian. “This is a very delicate situation Mr Hunter, she is at high risk of being a target for attack”

Christian shrugged “Maybe she shouldn’t be in this school then”

Andy watch the tension between these two men rise before abruptly stepping in “Be that as it may, Ms Taylor is still attending our school Christian, it has been agreed, So we will need to adhere to the safety guidelines these gentleman require” Andy discreetly shakes his head in Christians direction, prompting no reply from Christian, who choosing to sit in silence, a scowl forming across his features.
