CHAPTER 17

“Okay, just to let you all know, its five minuets till pens down” The examiner calls out to the crowded hall. For the past two hours we have been sitting our first law exam and boy is it hard work!

Having only got back from Brighton a few days ago, my head is still in some sort of dream world. Christian and I didn’t get the chance to speak the following morning about the nights events as he had to rush back to London for some unknown reason although I did get a text from him urging me to keep safe and not to talk to strangers. So romantic. I don’t want to fall for Christian, he’s quite possibly the most difficult man to understand, half the time he looks as though he has another world going on behind his eyes, he can go from sweet and happy to moody and slightly controlling in under a second but ultimately he does take my breath away. Something I need to remember though is that he is my teacher and that is not going to change any time soon, it worries me to think that the press could easily get hold of information, and they could find out what had happened over the past few days, and to be honest, we were not particularly discreet sometimes. Although Christian can’t be sacked for sleeping with me, he can be disciplined and even worse if the press get hold of the story, it’ll be common knowledge that he slept with a student. Most of me has decided that I wont happen again and I will keep my distance from him but then there is that small part of me that wants to hold him again, speak to him and kiss him. He is all kinds of wrong for me but deep down it all just feels right.

“Okay students. Pens down, please leave your papers on your desks and leave in an orderly fashion” The examiner informs us as we all begin to leave our seat, picking up our bags. As we exit the hall doors, I head to my locker, Amelia catches up with me.

“How did you do? Did you find it hard?” Amelia questions, her cheeks flush with excitement.

“Uh I think I did okay, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be” I tell her, finding my phone in my bag and switching it on.

“You have been acting weird since we got back. What’s up?” Amelia demands, her eyes searching mine.

Looking up from my phone, I look at her quizzically. “Nothing is up, I’m fine”

She shakes her head as she carries on staring at me “Is it to do with you know who?”

“Voldemort?” I laugh, shutting my locker door and leaning against it.

She smiles, but obviously not willing to drop the subject.

“Come on Chas, I am your friend, you have to tell me what’s up”

Looking at her, I sigh. “Just a lot on my plate at the moment”

“Really? You would tell me if something was wrong wouldn’t you?” She implores, batting her blue eyes at me.

“Of course” I lie quickly.

The thing is, I would tell he everything but with all the drama happening with Jared and all the crazy stuff going on with Christian, I wouldn’t know where to start anymore!

“Come on, lets get to class otherwise you’ll be punished severely by you know who” Amelia warns, a cheeky smile on her face.

“Your seriously not funny” I chide, rolling my eyes.

Entering the classroom, I note the lack of students in attendance, possibly about fourteen of them have turned up today.

Christian turns round, his handsome face looking tired and his eyes rimmed with dark circles. “Girls, take a seat please, we’re about to begin”
