CHAPTER 9

Christian woke early after an early night, its all rock and roll for teachers! After showing and changing into his gym kit, he left his South Ken apartment and jogged lightly down the round. He was wearing tight black running shorts with a skin tight lycra black tshirt, which basically had no benefit to him running wise but he knew he looked good in it. The wind blew through his silky black hair as he pounded the pavement, and the sun shone of his tanned skin. Passive a news stand by the Thames he noticed a familiar face looking back at him, picking up the magazine he read the headline:

CHARITY TAYLOR IN PUBLIC BUST UP WITH SECRET BOYFRIEND

“Would you like to pay for that mate?”

Christian glanced at the man, handing him a handful of change and taking the magazine. Taking a seat on a bench he open the magazine to the instructed pages.

Supermodel Charity Taylor’s first term at school doesn’t seem to be going quite so well. After numerous sightings of Charity and suspected new beau Jared, we were led to believe that a new romance had been taking place. Well we thought too soon, it had been reported that Charity and Jared had an open air for all to see slanging match in the student food court at Queens College where Charity and Jared attend. According to numerous friends, Jared had been intimidated by Charity’s success and had been for a better word jealous. Like many before her, Charity has chosen to date outside of the spotlight, and like many before her she will soon discover the heartbreak that usually follows. Could this prompt Charity’s move back into the world of fame and fashion that so sorely misses her and can she be content with a normal mundane student life?

I sorely doubt it.

Throwing the magazine down with disgust, Christian stand, now to irritated to run. Instead he walks slowly back to his apartment, mulling over the things he has just read. What a load of shit! He thinks to himself, who could write such lies and get away with it. Christian thinks back to the other day, Charity does have a habit of slipping back into her real world when the going gets tough, perhaps the magazine isn’t wrong, when it all gets too much for Charity will she just drop school and head back to celebrity and fame? To give her all due credit, she has done very well, it must be hard to work and be watched constantly and to try and give up or put aside a life that you’d never asked for.

Unlocking the door to his flat, he steps in kicking off his shoes and collapsing onto the sofa. Before long the phone is ringing, with effort Christian hauls himself off the sofa to pick up the phone.

“Hello?” He asks

“Hunter, It’s Jason, I need your help” Jason demands gruffly.

Christian rolls his eyes, as much as does enjoy having Charity around, Her security detail does get annoying.

“Yes, What with?” He asks, resigned to the fact that he’ll probably help him anyway.

“This Jared, I want him away from Charity”

“Haven’t they already broken up?” Christian yawns quietly, not understanding the need for this phone call.

“They got back together and she didn’t come home till the early hours, again with another suspect bruise” He responds, he hint of urgency in his tone. “Luckily Jared has dug his own grave”

“What do you mean?” Christian asks, his attention now fully on the phone call.

“Charity is away on a contract at the moment in Italy, but I have solid information that Jared has been seen in the same bar for the past few evenings. My sources tell me that the girls name is Jade Pilkerton, am I correct in thinking that she is a girl in your class?”
