The Run Away

(Hiccups POV)

I was absolutely stunned by what Astrid had said, she was the one person that usually never said anything, which is why this really got to me. What she said kept replaying in my head over and over.  I was at home sitting on my bed thinking about all this, then the thought occurred to me...

No one needs me here and if I leave no one will miss me, so why don't I just leave. All I have to do is pack up, get on Toothless, and leave...forever.

So I did. I packed my stuff and headed into the forest.

(Astrids POV)

I felt really bad for what I said earlier, so I went and stopped by the forge to see if Hiccup was there, so I could apologize. I didn't see him there, but I saw him go into the forest, so I grabbed my axe, and followed. I heard a twig snap and then I saw a small glimpse of him and that was all for a while.

(Hiccups POV)

I got the feeling that someone was following me so I turned around and I got a small glimpse of Astrid.

She probably only came for curiosity.

So I started moving quicker, no matter how much noise I made. I figured if I could get to Toothless quick enough and leave, she would never see us. Lucky it worked. For the first time in forever something actually worked out perfectly. I was finally getting away from Berk. Away from the people. Away from my dad. Away from the forge. Away from the huts. And away from Astrid. Oh Astrid.

(Astrids POV)

I followed a trail of broken twigs all the way to a cove with a lake in the middle. It was mostly all grass, with rock walls, and giant rocks on the ground. I looked for any signs of Hiccup, but all I saw was a broken tree, a burnt circle in the grass, jet black dragon scales, Hiccups dagger, and his sheild wedged between two rocks. I put all the clues together...

Hiccup must have found a dragon, the dragon started attacking, Hiccup tried to defend himself, and then was taken by the dragon.

I have to tell Stoick!

So I ran all the way to the Great Hall. I ran up all the steps. And I ran through the grand doors. All the way up to Stoick and Gobber.

"What's wrong Astrid?!?" Stoick asked concerned.

"Its - Hiccup" I said between breaths.

"What happened?" asked Stoick and Gobber even more concerned.

"He's gone and a dragon took him him" I explained.

"How do you know?" Asked Gobber.

I explained to them what I had found blah, blah, blah ( too lazy to actually rewrite all that)

"...and I found these." I said as I pulled out the two dragon scales that I had found. " what type of dragon do you think this is?"

"Hmm.....let me see that. Oh yes this is defiantly a.....Night Fury!"exclaimed Gobber.

"A Night Fury?" asked the cheif in shock.

"The unholy offspring of lightning and death itself." I stated.

"Take me to this "cove" that all this has happened" commanded cheif Stoick.

So I took them to the cove so they could see it with their own eyes.

(Hiccups POV)

I flew for hours and hours, until Toothless and I came across a mountain with a cave entrance at the very top. Toothless and I decided to go check it out. So we flew in. It was huge! There was a main cave room that had multiple different caves that led to different cave rooms. It was all pretty deep so the only way to come in was from the sky, but Toothless and I scouted the area and the caves anyway. It was clear.

"I guess this is our new home, bud." I said to Toothless who purred  back at me.

I picked a nice and peaceful cave room to become my bedroom. I started unpacking my stuff.
Which contained:
• a dagger
• a sheild
• 4 blankets
• a pillow
• a fishing net
• my journal
• all my drawings
• a couple of tools
• ten torches

This was all enough supplies to start off, but I have a lot to do and I have enough torches to light the main cave room and my room. Lucky I have more tools to create more torches.

**week time skip**

I finished making all the torches and furniture for me to finally start settling in. I had caught enough fish for Toothless and I, for a month. I also picked out a room just for my inventions! I really like this! I have alone time, all the time! Which gives me more tome to work on my latest invention, which is my dragon sword!
