Then, Alissa 'accidently' trips Aj. Causing him to fall over and land right on top of Jezamine.
"Sorry," he breathes.
"It's alright," Jezamine says, her eyes unwillingly shifting from his lips to his eyes. Their faces were inches apart. Aj opened his mouth to speak but closed it again, his lips slightly brushing against hers from their closeness.
Alissa and Jake were silently arguing about how she needs to continue getting Jezamine ready with many arm movements. Alissa smacked Jake on the back of the forehead and he cleared his threat.
"Well, I believe that's your cue to go," Jezamine says to him. Aj smiles at her.
"I believe so," he replies. Then he does some sort of push-up formation to lift himself off of her and also show off his muscles at the same time. He leaves and Jezamine gets up.
"Well, I guess we have to do your nails all over again," Alissa says. Jezamine shows the three girls her nails which have absolutely no disturbance.
"Alrighty then..." Erika says. They continue getting ready for a long time, for it was already 2:00 and they were 'losing
too much time'. Their nails had just finished when they decided to look online for hairstyles and makeup looks, which would at least take 30 minutes. Jezamine was completely bored while they were looking so she just went on her phone.
Aj texted her.
Aj: how's it in sephora?
Jezamine: Haha its great. They' have glitter and everything.
Aj: They locked the door on us
Jezamine: probably cuz they didn't want to 'waste too much time'
Aj: haha yeah
Aj: I love you ❤
Vivian paused, unsure of what way he meant it. Many things crossed her mind, for reasons she couldn't understand. Did he mean it in a friendly way? A brotherly way? Or a romantic way? Or was this some sort of joke??
Jezamine: what?
There was a small pause, making Jezamine anxious for his reply.
Aj: sorry, Jake took my phone.
Jezamine: lol it's fine.
But was it fine? 'Why did Jake want me to believe that Aj said that?' Jezamine thought to herself. They stopped chatting after that one text, as if there was some silent goodbye. The three other girls finished looking for ideas half an hour from when they started so it was 3:00. They started with each other's hair. (Picture it any way you'd like) which actually only took 15 minutes. Then moved on to makeup, which took 45 minutes. The four girls got changed into their 'costumes' one by one. First Alissa, wearing a chic, simple black dress that was cut off at the front, revealing her legs. She wore black wedges and black lace eye mask. Then Tessa, who also wore a black dress with a slit at the side of it. She had also had a black eye ask and wore black gladiator heels. Next was Erika who wore a (you guessed it!) black dress that was slightly below her knees. She wore a pair of black pumps and a lace eye mask like the others. Vivian was last.
