Lexie

"I am so sorry" the mysterious guy said as he helped pick up my books.
"It's fine, I'm pretty sure I walked into you anyway." I said looking into to his deep azure eyes.
"I best be off" he said breaking the silence.
"Right, yeah" I replied dusting off my skirt and standing up.
"I'm Nate"
"Lexie"
"I'll see you around"
"Yea"
He ran his hands through his golden brown hair before turning to leave. I stood there in awe as I watched him walk of towards his friends.
"In love are we?" My bestie Jenny said with a smile.
"He's a guy I just met we cant be in love, yet" I replied
"Yet?" She giggled
"Jenny leave me alone"

I couldn't stop thinking about him all day no matter what happened he was just there sitting in my mind. Listening to my life, to my thoughts. I got this feeling when I saw someone who looked like him it was like my heart sped up and instantly dropped when the person turned around.

"Where are my diamond cut crystals?" My father shouted with a voice full of impatience "theses tables have not been dusted" he continued as I walked inside "don't just stand there and look dumb do somthing?!"
The caters scurried off.
"Whose the guest?" I asked jumping on the couch.
"Your mother" he replied pulling me up and smoothing it out beneath me.
"My mothers dead" I told him.
"Oh Lexie please don't mess with me" he cried looking up at me.
"She's not my mother and she never will
Be."
"Look she loves you just as I do, just as your mother did." He said waking towards me.
"Does"
"Lexie she tries you have to understand that, the least you could do is try"
"I will never love nor will I care for that step monster!" I told him storming to my bedroom.

About an hour later I was changed and ready to go out. I walked into the living room and towards the door. I put my hand on the handle and turned around to look at my father.
"When does she arrive?"
"Tomorrow at 5" he said raising his head with an excited look.
"I'll make sure I'm out" I said as his face dropped, I left.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry" another guy said as he walked straight into me.
"Nate?"
"Lexie"
"This is the second time today" I said giggling.
"Yea must be fate I guess" he replied with a stunning smile.
Must be fate I thought. Must be the universe pulling us together or Mother Nature pushing us towards our destiny. Or some other cheesy saying, 'we're meant to be'.
"I was thinking would you maybe like to grab a coffee or something some time?" He asked looking all nervous.
"I'd love to! How about tomorrow at five?" I asked.
"Sounds great meet me here" he said with relief.
"See you then!" I said waking away.
