Jackson

It had been seven minutes since it started. I was sat on my bed in a pool of my own tissues, which were soaked in my blood. It just kept coming, I mean maybe I'll be fine, but this is most likely the en of my remission. Goodbye healthy cells and hello cancer.

I think I'm clear. Twelve minutes it's a new record. What the hell do I do now? I mean I could tell dad and then end up in the hospital for another year or two or five. All the kemo and scans and infections and almost deaths again. The weeks I'd spend unable to move the pain overtaking my whole body. Just having enough effort to keep breathing. At least I get a few days off school right. No harm done. I swung round and lay on my bed looking up at the ceiling the smell of blood still there, the taste still on my lips. Or I could just lay and wait hoping it would disappear or kill me quick.

It was two and i had been in the park for ten minutes now. He's late. New customers.
"Are you the child with my masters..." he lent down closer to me and whispered "package."
"Dude don't be so suspicious" I said pushing him up to his regular height. "Come on" I got up and walked away. I couldn't hear his footsteps so I turned to see him standing staring at me dumbfounded.
"Dude that means follow me" I swear if I keep up with using new customers I'm going to busted.
"Ok it's 1200"
"No, give me the package first"
"Dude, the money or you can beat it"
"Fine" he looked around stuffed a brown envelope into my hands. I checked the envelope to see if the cash was there while the man impatiently tapped his foot.
"Okay, one ounce"
"Right, yea, thanks" he took the bag and left.

When I got back my dad was waiting for me.
"Ahh, Nate your hear, sit down we have been waiting" he said gesturing towards our step mother, Carrie, who was smiling like a cherish cat and lex who was staring at her phone. I took a seat on the sofa.

"So as you know Carrie is leaving this weekend and we are going to have a banquet"
"Why?" Lexie said parting her glance from her phone.
"Because you should be able to say goodbye, since it's such an emotional time"
"Oh for you sure" I said leaning into my chair "for us it's just a blessing"
"Nate!" My dad shouted walking closer "you can't talk about her like that!"
"Hun it's fine really" Carrie said standing up to try and restrain my dad.
"No it's not he needs to learn he needs to understand" he grabbed my collar pulling me up.
"Dad stop" Lexie cried running towards him.
"Your a little unwanted bastard" he said throwing me to the ground before storming out.

Carrie ran after him, and Lexie came swiftly down to me. She picked me up supporting my back against the sofa.
"Are you ok?" She said worried.
"Yea I'm fine sis" I gasped attempting to hide the pain in my voice. I used the sofa for support to lift my self up. I stood up standing in front of Lexie.
"I'll be fine ok" I comforted her worried look, before walking into my room.
