Jackson

"250"
"You've got to be kidding" he replied a shocked look on his face.
"Dude it's Tina, what do you expect?"
"Fine" he handed over the money looking behind his back, took the bag and left.
I stood there for a while. I liked, just after I'd sell a batch I would stand there alone. After a while I would walk home back to the horror story of my life.

"Jackson it's almost midnight you have school tomorrow!" She said as I walked through the door.
"I'm sick" she stood up glaring at me.
"Cough, cough" I walked through to my room ignoring her like usual.

I woke up to the sound of the doorbell.
"Lex!, Lex!" There was no answer, I rolled out of the bed "get the bloody door" still no answer. I grabbed some pants and went to get it.
"Hey" it was Nate, I didn't like the kid. Didn't really trust him.
"I don't think she's in" I went to close the door
"She's right here!" Lexie appeared behind me pushing open the door "hey" she stood on her tip toes and kissed.
I rolled my eyes and went back to my room collapsing on the bed.

I came out around two hours later to get food. I heard a ringing, it took me at least two minutes to realize it was my phone.
"Who is it?"
" I want an ounce of speed" the caller replied.
"That's a lot"
"I can handle it"
"I don't care if you can handle it, I'm just saying it's steep"
"Steep?"
"It's like a thousand two hundred an ounce"
"Money's not a problem"
"Ok"
"I'll get a man to swing by at two"
"Not my house, I'll meet him in public"
"Fine, the park"
I hung up, new customers were always off, but I needed the money.
"Who was that?" Nate appeared from behind.

"Where's Lex?"
"She went to grab something from her room, who was on the phone?"
"No one you know!" That nosy piece of shit.
"It just sounded a bit dodgy" I cant believe he was still talking " you know, messed up"
"How about I mess up your face" I said waking closer.
"Jackson what the hell!" A voice shouted I turned to see Lexie walking towards me.
"It's nothing babe" the idiot replied. I turned around scowling at his use of the word 'babe'. Lexie walked into the kitchen leaving me with him. Again! I turned around to finish what I started.
"Mate your nose" he pointed at my face with a shocked look.
I lifted my hand to touch something wet on my lip. No. I brought my hand to my eye-line. No. Yes. It was blood. Bright red. Shit.
"What's up?" Without thinking I turned revealing to Lexie, my face.

"Jackson?" She said tenderly.
"It's nothing I hit my nose"
She looked at me with disbelief.
"Honestly, I'm fine" and with that I left.
