Nate
I went home to find my dad once again sitting on my sofa waiting patiently for my return. "Look, captain I'm really not in the mood"
"Oh of course your not you never are, are you your just here for the money aren't you go on admit it." He was getting closer pointing an accusing finger in my face.
"Honey, remember what we agreed to" my mother said coming out of the kitchen "it's lovely to see you, sugar" she said walking towards me. She gave me a quick hug "you should come round more often, we miss you"
She elbowed the caption in his ribs.
"Oof... yea lots"
I rolled my eyes at this situation taking a seat on my sofa.My parents followed, the captain taking the furthest seat from me. "We've come to talk to you about college, Nate"
Well at least it wasn't Blair this time.
"Your father and I thought you could speak to your gran..."
"No! I don't need his help" I stood up "I can do this in my own. I need to do this on my own"
"Nate honey listen you are allowed to ask for help it's not a bad thing."She said standing up "Your grandfather wouldn't mind." She walked over to me placing her hand on my shoulder. "At all""I don't need his help. No, I don't want his help not after he disowned us" I pushed her hand away taking a step back. "Not after he abandoned me when I needed him the most"
She stood there in shock looking between me and the captain. As if he would do anything! After what seemed an eternity. He stood up walked other to me and simply said "if you don't need his help you won't need ours either" and he walked out. My mother stood and watched as he left. She looked at me and followed him mouthing 'sorry' on her way out. What did this mean?
