Carrie

I hung up the phone and got up. I walked towards the kitchen. When I ended up on the floor. I looked around to see how I came cascading to the floor. My eyes lay upon a body. The shaggy hair covering his eyes but I knew who it was... mostly by the school uniform. It was Jackson. My first thoughts were that he must have heard me on the phone if they found out I'm done my covers blown and I'll end up losing them both I have to sort this and fast.

I stood up and walked towards him just to crouch down again. I shook his shoulders calling out his name "Jackson, wake up"
He didn't reply. I tried again. And again. I raked my brain to try and remember what to do. I checked his pulse. To see it was there but faint. So I quickly dialed 911 followed by his father, Thomas.

We had been waiting for an hour and he still hadn't woken up. Thomas was pacing up the corridor, Lexie was crying her mascara running down her face creating two definite black smudged lines down her cheeks. She sniffles every now and again repeating words like "I should've done something" "it's all my fault" before bursting into tears. Thomas walked towards Lexie taking a seat and wrapping his arms around her. Whispering sweet words of comfort into her ears. All the while I say watching, waiting.

Half an hour later a doctor burst out of the door.
"He's awake"
Thomas jumped to his feet speeding towards the door, Lexie close behind.
"I'm sorry you can't come in yet, since he is 18 we have to talk to him first we will be out as soon as you can come in"

A few minutes had passed and the doctor returned allowing us to go in and see him. He was propped up against the back of his bed. His face was covered in pain and he looked like he hadn't slept an hour in his life but he covered everything with a smile. A fake one might I add.

"Jacky" Lexie cried running towards him then wrapping her arms around him to which he replied by wincing in pain but once again covering it up and hugging her back. She pulled away scanning his face. then stood up wiping away her tears.
"Don't cry lex I'm fine" Jackson replied his smile faker than before.

He looked around until his eyes lay on me, he knows he has to. He quickly looked at his dad, he was about to speak when
"I was so worried when I found you. Limp and unconscious" I interrupted hoping he got my hint, to let him know I know he knows.
"Right thanks" he replied half heartedly "where's my phone? And when can we get out of here?" He asked causing Lexie and Thomas to burst into laughter.
