I got up early to see the sun go down. I love looking at all the beautiful pink and purple colors againt the clouds. It was truly breath taking. I usually get to see the sun go down when I stay up all day to study for school. Tonight I had a test! It was worth 25% of our final mark. Plus is was on a subject that I was struggling with so I had to get a descent mark. If it were Math or Space Science it would be a piece of moon cake! But no it had to be "The Living World" A.K.A Geography. I had a B- in Geography... now I know what you are thinking. A B- isn't a D or a C but it still wasn't good enough. You see I have worked my but off to get a 90% Average in school. If I failed this test it would bring my mark down.
Sigh... For an 11th grader I was such and over achiever. I have a good reason for it though!
You See... I'm not even suppose to be going to this school.
My parents really worked hard to get me accepted to the Advanced Star Academy. Tuition was rough! Both of them have to work over time to pay for it. My other siblings Tom and Bay are in public school with regular school board. Tom is in the 7th grade and is doing extremely well mark wise. My sister bay is in the 5th grade. She's so cute... but can be EXTREAMLY annoying at times! Especially during exam periods. Bay is still exploring the life she has and is enjoying it to her fullest. Tom on the other hand really wants to go to my school when he graduates.
In the public school board system they choose one student with the highest grades to attend Advance Star Academy. If you're chosen your tuition is paid for the first year of attendance. Your marks are evaluated by all the top employees of the galaxy and you have a better chance of getting a great job I the field. Tom has his heart set on being chosen and NOBODY is getting in the way of him and that school!
My parents are quite proud of him for his driven goal. They only want what's best for us. Every now and then we remember what it was like back at our old station. It was like we could be ourselves, and just love life. Sigh... how I miss those days.
When I graduated grade 8. My parents were given a choice. To move to another part of our system and keep the same jobs or to be given another job, that would pay less and it would be in an entirely different field than they were use too. They would have to be trained all over again. It took them about a month of thinking before they even mentioned it to us. We were shocked at the thought of moving but we knew it was for the best.
I mean who knew that life here would be so different than was it was.
Dang! Its almost 6:00 Pm!! I have to get ready for school. I don't want all this studying for this test to go to waist.
As I close my window I start to get ready for the night to come. Even though I did well in school. I still didn't like it. Why? You might ask.... Well there is only one word to describe it...
Bully's
