Nightfall came and suddenly it hid Levy. Gajeel saw her pale face turn reddish and the realization was written all over her face. Confused and slightly alarmed he turned his focus on her
"What is it?"
A slam was heard as she slapped herself on her forehead. She had closed eyes and her face got even redder as she spoke
"I forgot to get my things because I couldn't let Lucy know I stayed here."
Gajeel relaxed "That's all? Oh come on Shrimp."
"Yes but that's a lot!" Levy said with her red face and an slightly shaken voice: "My toothbrush, my pajamas, hairbrush-"
"You can borrow from me, don't worry about it."
Gajeel slightly smiled at the small problem, that seemed incredible big to Levy. If the red color of her face could get any deeper, it just did. She didn't seem to like the idea, however the bare thought of not brushing teeth disturbed her.
"Thanks," she muttered her thoughts racing about how to overcome the problem and how she could have forgotten something so important.
Gajeel went to the bedroom looking through his clothes. Finding his smallest t-shirt, he showed it to Levy. She went to the bedroom while Gajeel prepared the space next to Juliana in the bed. He then took a pillow and a blanket to the couch - his new bed for the following days it would seem.
As he laid down ready to sleep he heard the tiny footsteps of Levy running over the floor to the bedroom. She poked her head out smiling.
"Goodnight Gajeel,"
"Goodnight,"
The next day Levy awaked to a wonderful smell. Sleepily she got out of bed and looked to Juliana. Still asleep, little less pale than yesterday. Rubbing her eyes she walked to the kitchen following the smell of what could be ... freshly baked pancakes?
Jawning she chimed a 'morning' and smiled at Gajeel standing at the stove. She walked around him, small bare feet tipping at the wooden floor, to look at the pan he stands with.
"Morning Shrimp," he greeted looking at her through the corner of his eye.
"Smells delicious," she noted with a sleepy happy smile.
"Hope you like pancakes for breakfast,"
Turning around Gajeel took a real look at Levy, and blushed slightly seeing her in his heavily oversized t-shirt and bare legs. It's so big on her petite body, reaching right above her midt thigh, and her hair is all messy. Blushing he stared at her beautiful figure. God she looked so adorable in that. And even more important; she looked like she belonged to him.
Levy took the plate with pancakes to place on the table. Pantherlily flew into the room with a "Godmorning," and sat at the table. Gajeel and Levy joined him and they all eat.
The day went by quickly. Gajeel went outside to practice and Levy found herself cleaning the livingroom as if she was at her parents home. Strolling around with a damp cloth in hand, she cleaned the windows and hymned a melody. Before she knew it Gajeel stood in the kitchen cooking dinner with Pantherlilys help. After dinner Gajeel found Levy lying in the grass outside the house. The sun had set and stars popped up one by one, as the night creeped in.
"You'll get sick like that," he commented referring to her summer dress and bare arms and legs.
"Maybe, but it's just such a nice view,"
"Tck" he sat down beside her.
The wind blew through the few trees around them. Its summer warmth tickled Levys legs and lifts a few loose leafs and took them away. The sound was like a low whistle, singing the song of natures small wonders. It was indeed a nice view this particular evening.
The two laid there watching the sky for who knows how long. The wind had gotten colder. Levy shivered slightly - but enough for Gajeel to notice."I told ya Shrimp. Come here," Gajeel sat up taking his coat off. As Levy shifted closer he wraps it around her shoulders.
"Thank you Gajeel" Levy smiled not bothered to shift away from Gajeel again. The two laid down, Levy happy from the small gesture. Did he worry about her on such a small thing? The coat was warm, and even better; it smelled like Gajeel.
Looking at the constellations Levy found herself getting sleepier, and colder. Feeling the heat radiation from Gajeel she scooped closer, cuddling her arms into his warm side. Surprised by the contact Gajeel looked down seeing Levys messed hair pressed to his ribs and hands holding his coat around her. He smiles with a low "Gehe" and laid an arm around her with a blush. A satisfied hum came from Levy and she cuddled closer.
"Shrimp? Are you sleeping?"
"Hey, wake up," Gajeel slightly nudged her shoulder. She opened her eyes slightly.
"Don't ya think we should go inside?" He asked sitting her up beside him. She nod and closed her eyes again. Goddammit really? Aand she's asleep again.
"Levy, come on," She opened her eyes again and wrapped her arms around Gajeels neck as he lift her up bridal style. He walked inside and placed her on the couch to take her and his own shoes off. Levy had just cleaned the house after all.He tried once more; "Levy, go to bed," she just nodded and put her arms around his neck.
"You're warm," she said in her sleep, cuddling into him. At that point Gajeel gave up. She was just so damn cute like that, it's unfair. He grabbed the neatly folded blanket and his pillow from the floor beside the sofa and arranged them. He put Levy down carefully wrapping her arms around the blanked instead of him and took out her hairband. Checking in on Juliana and picking up Levy's pillow and blanket, he walked to the livingroom looking from the couch pillows to the floor. Guess he's gonna sleep on a home-made bed tonight.
