His heart was torn to pieces. He had to see Jamie everyday whether he liked it or not. He needed his education and couldn't miss school just because of some stupid, stupid heartbreak. He had a future set out for him.
And today, oh today, he witnessed something he wish he didn't see. It broke his shattered heart into even tinier pieces. The boy gave all of his love to Jamie and she trampled over it without a care in the world. He loved her, cherished her, treated her as if she was a treasure. And she was.
But she didn't realize it, she took him for granted, taking advantage of his love and kindness to fuel her own selfish needs. And there she was, just 5 days after their breakup, sucking the living daylights out of some boy. How can someone move on so quickly when you're struggling with the thought of moving on yourself?
Then he ran. He ran out of the school, out of the parking lot, out of his neighborhood and towards that park bench that held different memories. Where he confessed his feelings towards Jamie, where he asked her to be his lover, where she accepted, where they shared their first and last kiss. Where they ended things.
It was then did he realize that happiness never truly lasts.

A/N: Sweet baby Jesus, I just realized how hypocritical (okay, hypocritical might not be the word I'm looking for) I'm being. First telling you all to be happy, then saying that happiness doesn't truly last? Understand that this is only part of the story plot.
Forgive me, please. I only want you all to be happy, really.
God, I didn't plan this out...
