I remember it clearly
Clearly I renounced my heart that day
Day to day I lived with no emotions
Emotionally devoid I thought I was complete
Completely broken really
Reality, in its harshness, fueled it
It grew and spread
Spread till my heart was stone
Stone cold, but she thought it was gold
Golden girl, you took my heart for your own
Owned by you, the stone barrier was suddenly gone
Confused, I didn't know how to deal with you
You grew weary, and I pushed too
Too much, till you left
Left with more than yourself
You left with my newly freed heart too
