They say breaking a chain is easy
You attack the weak links
But how do you fix a chain?
It's painful
It requires a separation
You have to break off the broken bits
Temporarily unlinking the pieces
Breaking the bond
Then you replace the damaged connection
With a stronger linkThey say the forces that bind us
Are like a chain
For something so integral
They're so simply broken
But
It's my saving grace to know they can be repaired
Relinking our hearts is worth the pain and price of separation.A/N: This poem is dedicated to simplysear as part of my thanks for your support in this collection. Once again, truly, thank you.
