I just wanna say I love you
But I can't
I've sat here for hours
Deliberating ways
To say it without causing pain
It's useless
I can't find a way
But I just want you to know
That it's true
I do
Love you
I do
I love you
And I hope you don't hear it
When I say it for the 5000th time today
For all these words must build up
And get solid enough for the wind to carry away
It'll reach your ear
And I know it'll be the worst thing you hear today
I love you
I do
Love you
I do
I love you
And I'm sure it's something you want to go away
Even if it's something you want to stay
Cause I know I'm someone you want to go away
Even if you want me to stay
And I know that my heart causes you pain
Even if it's the thing that helped you find a way
I don't know what I am
What to do
I'm a walking contradiction
That seems to really hurt you
Staying hurts, yet it slowly takes the pain away?
Sometimes I just wish you could say,
"It's okay, we're okay anyways."
And I wouldn't be so conflicted about what I want to say to you today:
I love you
I truly do
Can't say there's much of a reason,
Other than because you're you
And I love you
I do
Love you
I do
I love you
