I saw them all around
Like a passing cloud
They blotted out the sun
Hitting those around me
Left and right
A classmate
There
Until the soft tang and thud
A teacher
Hit, not a miss
A friend
One shot and done
There were those hit
And saw me
But I knew it wasn't to be
To help them
For all the arrows whizzed around me
Yet missed
Until it didn't
For a brief moment
I paused
He shoots
Then I too
Was hit
But I just couldn't help but admire you
If given a choice
I'd stop again
Even if everytime
I was hit
