Time seemed to go slow. Doctors and nurses entered the room, then exited not even glancing once at Lisa.

Paige had just gone to get them a drink, and Lisa was sat down in one of the uncomfortable chairs in the waiting area. She played with the chain around her neck as she zoned out, thinking about Lauren.

She had said so many prayers for her and it looked like they were about to be answered, whether that be for the worse she didn't know.

She was so deep in thought she didn't notice Paige had returned with two cups of water in her hands. She just stood there, staring at Lisa as she stared ahead of her.

Paige gave a straight smile as she sat down next to her, holding the cups of water in her hands waiting for Lisa to return to reality.

"Damnit." She hissed as she threw her arms out suddenly, sending the cup of water closest to her flying onto Paige. "Oh gosh. I'm sorry." She said quickly as Paige stood up.

"It's fine." She said handing Lisa the other water. "It got on my jacket anyway." She chuckled taking her jacket off and tying it around her waist.

Lisa's eyes landed on the small tattoo on her wrist and tilted her head to the side. "I didn't see that before."

Paige sat back down, and then looked at her own tattoo. "I don't like to show it off." She said quietly as she reached into her pocket, pulling out a black cuff and placing it on her wrist, covering the tattoo.

To anyone else the reason she doesn't like the tattoo wouldn't be a big deal, but to her it was the worst thing in the World.

"Okay." Lisa replied quietly and took a tip of water. "I'm really sorry about that."

"Don't be, it's just water. It'll dry off."

They remained in silence, the only sound being the normal sounds of the hospital.

Time continued to pass and Lisa was close to falling asleep, she was surprised Paige had stayed.

"Oh fuck." Paige groaned and took her phone out of her pocket to see six missed calls and over a dozen messages from her Aunt.

"I'm just gonna go call my Aunt, I won't be long." Paige said quietly and Lisa nodded her head in response.

Paige walked through the hospital corridors trying to find a signal, and once she did she immeidiatly called Vivian who answered on the second ring.

"Where are you?! I've been so worried about you. You didn't come into work today." She said quickly not allowing Paige to speak.

"I know, I'm sorry. I'm fine." She heard her Aunt release a relieved sigh. "I'm at the hospital with Lisa. Something happend with her sister."

"Sister? Lauren? Is she finally turning her life support off? She needs to stop her sisters suffering. Wait why are you there?"

"No. I don't know and it's not our place to say...And I'm here because she stayed the night at mine."

"Paige..."

"Not like that! It's a long story, I'll tell you later. Anyway I brought her here and everything else slipped my mind I'm sorry."

Before her Aunt could respond she quickly hung up as she heard Lisa's voice booming from down the corridor.

She ran towards Lisa who was shouting at the doctors and nurses.

"Please calm down Miss Cimorelli."

"What's going on?"

Lisa turned to face Paige and she was red in the face. "They said she's becoming more stable but they won't let me see her."

"Why?" Paige asked looking at one of the doctors.

"She's been in a coma for twelve years. Everything will be new to her if she wakes up. She won't know who you are because you'll look different."

"But if Lisa says her name, surely she'll remember."

The Doctor looked down and then looked into Lisa's eyes.

"We don't know."
