Two weeks had passed since Paige had stayed with Lisa and she stormed out of her home. Paige had been busying herself with work at the coffee shop, working extra hours. She knew she shouldn't because she'd see Lisa.

But she didn't.

Lisa didn't go since Paige left the apartment, she knew Paige wouldn't talk to her and it was all her fault, but Lisa was use to it. People came into her life and then just left. It hurt everytime but it didn't hurt as much as it did with Paige, there was something different this time.

"Okay Mrs B. I got your hot chocolate and lemon muffin." Paige smiled as she handed the elderly lady her things.

"Thank you."

Paige smiled as she watched the old woman walk to her seat but her smile soon turned into a frown as she averted her eyes to the door and saw Lisa walk in.

"Aunt Viv, I'm taking my break now. There's a customer here."

Lisa felt her heart drop as she watched Paige remove her apron and walked passed her. Bumping her slightly.

"Paige." Lisa called after her but was ignored.

"Hey Lisa. Usual?" Vivian asked with a smile as she walked up to the counter.

Lisa quickly shook her head and went after Paige. She jogged to catch up with her and when she did, she was shocked to see the younger girl crying.

"Leave me alone Lisa."

"No." Lisa shook her head. "You're crying and it's my fault."

"It's not your fault." Paige said wiping her cheeks as she continued to walk. "It's my own fault."

Lisa walked by her side, not knowing where they were going and not caring. Paige had been there for her so she was being there for Paige.

"How?"

"I haven't talked to you in two weeks and it was my choice. I could have told you I'm sorry but I didn't and I know how much you need someone in your life right now. It was me, I was that person but I ruined it by over reacting about my dead girlfriend." Paige began to cry harder as she finished the last sentence.

Lisa didn't hesitate to wrap her arms around her small body in a tight hug, she was surprised at her own actions but Paige needed it right now.

"I'm..I'm sorry for your loss." Lisa said trying not to cry herself at the memory of losing someone that you care about. "It does get better for some people...The pain won't just go away but.." Lisa sighed trying to figure out how to explain what she meant. "Think of it this way, you have a backpack and you're carrying it on your shoulders constantly and it's filled with heavy rocks...Each day that passes one falls out making it lighter and lighter until it's empty. Each day that passes the pain of losing her will start to go away. You will feel hurt sometimes and feel down but you will always have the memories."

Paige laughed and pulled away from Lisa. "You should listen to what you say."

"I lost all of my family. I've been wearing the backpack for twelve years and no rocks fell out but I feel one on the edge about to tip over, that's thanks to you."

"Me?" Paige asked confused.

"You've been there for me. Sure it was like a day, day and a half but...That's the longest someone has been there for me. You saved me from bei-"

"You don't have to say it." Paige said quickly, cutting her off.

"Just...You being here in my life...It's helping me deal with it all."

Paige smiled and wrapped her arms around Lisa, giving her a tight hug. "And I'm never leaving. We're gonna get through both of our losses together."

"Together." Lisa replied with a smile. "I like that."
