"Hey!" Casey called out to the private investigator. She quickly stuffed the chloroform and mask in her right pants pocket and made her way over to him.

"I changed my mind. I want to come with you." Casey told him as she got closer. He looked her up and down and that's when Casey got really disgusted. She thought that he had been studying her, but now she realized her was checking her out.
Casey zipped up her pink jacket.

"What changed your mind?" The investigator asked, unlocking the trunk of his car.

Casey closed her fist around the chloroform bottle. "I had a change of heart." She answered.

The man smiled and turned around to lean into his trunk. As he was moving stuff around to make room, Casey put on the mask and took the chloroform out. When he turned to face her, his face was full of confusion.

"What the--" He started, but that's when Casey raised the bottle to the man's face and sprayed it.

He tried to back away from her, but he just fell into his trunk. The man waved his arms over his face and tried to get up, but it was too late. He passed out a few seconds later.

"Good job." Dennis said from behind her. Casey closed the trunk, took off the mask, and turned to face him.

"Thanks." She smiled, putting the stuff back in her pocket.

"Now, who's going to kill him? You, me, or the Beast?" Casey asked.

"You and I. He wants us to kill him." She could tell Dennis was uncomfortable with the idea.

"Never killed anyone before?" She asked.

Dennis uncrossed his arms and then recrossed them. "No. Have you?" He snapped.

"No, but then again, I never kidnapped anyone before." She snapped back at him.

"You three were the first I ever kidnapped." He told her.

Dennis walked away from her and started talking. "It's too messy. All the blood..." It sounded like he was talking to the Beast. He kept a calm tone and spoke like a lieutenant to their commander.

"Scared of a little blood?" The Beast asked.

"But it's not a little bit. It's a lot and-"

The Beast cut him off. "Perhaps this isn't your strong suit, Dennis. I can feel your fear." He said.

Dennis remained quiet. "Your fear of the unclean. I don't blame you, having to live like you did." Then he stopped talking. Dennis nodded, like the Beast was still talking to him in his head.

Dennis then turned around and went to the car. He pulled out the keys from the trunk and walked to the driver's side door. Casey waited for her door to open and then she got in.

Dennis turned on the car and they drove away. Dennis kept quiet and Casey started looking through the car.

"Please, try not to leave so many fingerprints." Dennis told her. Casey looked at the glove compartment.

"Can I use your yellow rag?" She asked.

Dennis pulled it out of his pocket and handed it to her. Casey wrapped it around her hand and opened the glove compartment.
