Their guests were kept in their cage for over a month before Casey went in. There were a few times when they tried to escape or overpower Dennis, so he had to install a grate door in front of the entrance to the hallway. He made to to lock it from his side, restricting them to one room. Casey watched as the tensions rose between the six people. She couldn't hear them, but she could watch them argue and stay in their separate corners of the room.
Casey stayed true to her word and cut her hair. Patricia cut it to her chin, shorter than Casey anticipated. Patricia also dyed Casey's hair a dark brown, like before, but left some blonde in there so she could have highlights. When Casey first saw herself, she didn't even recognize her reflection. She looked so much different than the girl who first entered this hotel. She didn't know if that change was a good or bad thing, but found herself not caring. She was happy here. And that's all she needed to know.
Casey's ankle healed nicely, so the runaways wouldn't be able to realize it was her that tried to stomp on her face. The Beast helped her around for the first few weeks, carrying her everywhere, which she didn't mind. They continued their relationship behind the other personalities' back. They would spend some nights just talking about random things and other nights they didn't need words at all. She fell asleep in his arms once and remembered thinking, "So this is what the beginning stages of love feels like."
Casey woke up that morning when she found Dennis sitting in the other twin bed that he never used. She slowly sat up, never taking her eyes off of him. "Get yourself ready. Patricia will be ready to help you change before you.... go." Dennis told her, getting up from the bed.
"Dennis." Casey said. He turned around. "How much longer?" She asked, knowing he would understand what she meant.
"Just a few more weeks." The search parties are still active." He told her before leaving.
Out of the six, only four were reported missing. Their families realized that they didn't run away together and had started actively searching for their children. No one put two and two together. Police were suspicious, but never officially tied the two cases together. Dennis feared them being caught if they killed the teens now, so they had to wait for it to die down. Since it has been over a month, it was getting there. But the teens were getting more and more brave.
Only Dennis went in. The other personalities were not allowed in. Casey didn't know why, but that's what Hedwig told her. She brought it up that showing the teens the other personalities would scare them, but all that was said on the subject was no. They hoped Casey could bring calm to the teens until they were killed. Casey hoped she could, but had no faith in herself. All she had to do was have the teens listen to her when she said that fighting Dennis was not a wise thing to do.
Casey got out of bed and got ready. She wasn't going to have access to a toothbrush for a while, so she made sure to clean her teeth extra long. She threw up after she finished. "Calm down." She told herself, before brushing her teeth again. She finished and left the bathroom, wearing only a black tank top and khaki shorts. Originally, Patricia wanted to put her in booty shorts and a crop top to match the other girls, but Casey refused. It took a few days and a few arguments, but they finally agreed on a short black skirt that stopped mid thigh, a blue sleeveless shirt, and a leather black jacket to try and hide her scars.
Casey went into the office and grabbed the bag from the counter, changing there. She put her old clothes in the bag and went to find Patricia. She found her Dennis's room, brushing her hair.
