For the most part, Casey stared out the window and kept quiet. As time passed the awkward silence became less awkward. She found a men's jacket in the back seat and used it as a pillow. The jacket must have belonged to whoever Dennis stole the car from because Casey couldn't see any of the personalities wearing a dirty grey jacket that smelled like it hadn't been washed in ages.

She could tell Dennis was uncomfortable with the object and this gave Casey a peace of mind. She could still hear him saying that he was trying to be on his best behavior and that caused her to shudder a bit. She still didn't fully trust him, but hoped that the Beast or Patricia would intervene if he tried anything. But she did know that the Beast would put the personalities before her everytime, so she wasn't that hopeful.

Cassidy fell asleep a couple of times during the drive. She would jolt awake every so often from her dreams, but was reassured when she found herself in the car. Her uncle couldn't get her anymore. He would hear from the police that she was dead and never look for her. She would never have to see him again.

When Dennis pulled into a gas station, Cassidy climbed into the back seat of the car and laid down. She could hear him talking to himself (or another personality) outside of the car, but couldn't make out what he was saying. It took him about thirty minutes to fill up the gas tank and pay before driving off.

"Do we have a certain destination we're going to?" Cassidy asked him. She thought he was going to ignore her again, but was surprised when he replied.

"Yes." And that was it.

Casey was going to ask him to elaborate, but decided against it. That was all she was going to get from him. She didn't know how much longer they were going to be driving and didn't want to get chloroformed again. Instead, she folded the jacket under her head, buckled one seat belt over her waist, and went to sleep.

When Casey woke up again, the car was stopped. She could hear paper rustling, so she knew she wasn't alone. She opened her eyes and saw a familiar yellow jacket. Hedwig was sitting in the driver's seat, but had his body as to face her. He seemed to be eating what smelled like a sausage biscuit.

"Hey, sleepyhead!" He lisps, waving at her. She smiles at the boy.

"Hey, Hedwig. What are you doing here?" Casey remained laying down, but raises her head a bit.

"Mr. Dennis said I could take the light while he rest. He said I could eat breakfast, excetera." Casey stretched out her legs and laid down on her back. "Mr. Dennis says you talk in your sleep."

Casey said her heart sink. Why did she say? None of the personalities knew what happened to her except the Beast and he didn't know the full story. "Did he tell you what I said?" She asked. Hedwig took a bite of his biscuit and thought about it.

"Hmmm. He said you moan and say 'no' a lot." Hedwig answered, taking another bite of food.

Hedwig then started to say something with his mouth full, Casey cut him off. "Chew your food, Hedwig. You could choke." He hurriedly finished his food.

"Mr. Dennis said that is your food." He gestured down at the cup holder. She looked down and saw a cup of orange juice and a biscuit. She didn't even realize how hungry she was until her stomach growled.

Casey sat up, unbuckled herself, and opened her food. She took a bite and chewed rapidly. "You must be hungry!" Hedwig exclaimed before taking a sip of his own orange juice.
