"Bev?" Mike whisper-called out, incase the beast was nearby. He continued to call out to her as they got closer, realising she was in some sort of daze.

"H-how is she in the air?" Richie questioned, his grip on Lizzy's hand loosened.

Eddie pointed his flashlight upwards, his mouth flew ajar at what he saw. "Guys?" He alerted them, Lizzy's eyes shot up to the non-existent ceiling and let out a gasp. "Holy shit."

"Are those-" Eddie continued but was cut off by Stanley. "The missing kids. Floating." Their bodies were in awkward positions, clearly dead.

"Can you guys see that thing too?" They nodded at Lizzy's question. Stan raised an eyebrow, "Of course, why?"

She shrugged, still in a state of shock, "I'm off my meds." Liz admitted.

Lizzy almost cried at the thought that Frankie was probably up there but stuck to the task at hand.

"Gimme a boost Mikey, will ya?" Lizzy asked as Mike proceeded to do so. She reached up and grabbed the floating red head, pulling her down to the floor and bringing her eye-to-eye with Liz.

"Bev? BEVERLY?" The short haired girl wept once her best friend didn't respond to her. She shook her and shook her but it wasn't enough, Beverly's eyes were utterly white, the pupil had completely vanished.
"Why isn't she waking up? WHAT'S WRONG WITH HER?" She frantically screamed, terrified for the well being of her best friend.

Lizzy started bawling her eyes out and tried to hug Bev, causing Richie to take the girl in his arms as she wept into the crook of his neck. He calmingly rubbed her back with his left hand as his right hand slid through the back of her hair.

Ben moved into where Lizzy had previously been. Tears were starting to form as he reached in and stared at the girl he loved. She was perfect to him. Her ginger hair, her plump pink lips. And he was probably never going to be able to tell her now. Tell her how much he loved her. How much he appreciated and cared for her. That it was him that wrote the poem.

With tears in his eyes, he leaned in and placed a delicate yet loving kiss on her lips, causing the rest of the kids to momentarily break from their mourning phase to let out an, "ew".

But then she actually did it. She actually moved.

They all let out a sigh of relief as Beverly's eyes widened. A look of realisation grew on her face.
"January embers," She muttered, it was Ben who'd wrote the poem - not Bill.
"My heart burns there too." He smiled, she returned it and swapped her attention to Lizzy.
Before Lizzy could even open her mouth to apologise, Beverly grabbed her into a tight hug. "I love you so much," Liz wept into her shoulder. "I love you too." Beverly smiled and they let go of each other.
