They were tired.

So, so tired.

They'd left Frankie's body down there, Georgie's too. It sounded wrong but they didn't have the energy to take them back up to Derry.

She didn't know what happened to Henry Bowers. Some say he went missing like the others and died, others say he was caught and sent to Juniper Hill. She didn't give a shit whether the fall killed him or not, she hoped it did though.

Their childhood died in the sewers. Every little bit of wonder that was left was drained along with their energy as they went in circles, trying to find the rope that would lead them home. Lead them back to ground level. Back to the real world

Lizzy remembered not being able to open her eyes until the first ray of sunlight finally appeared after almost pulling herself up the rope, she almost cried again. They had no clue how much time had passed, it felt like they were down in those sewers for days.
None of them spoke to one another, each of them grabbing their bikes with Beverly riding double with Bill.

They finally got a good glimpse at themselves after getting to the Derry tourist centre and peering into the glass window. Staring back at the Losers, were eight kids covered in sewage and whatever the hell IT had vomited onto them. "I can't go home like this guys... my mom will kill me." Eddie broke the silence, gulping after seeing his reflection for the first time in hours.

"Dude- you've been gone for 24 straight hours. Your face is definitely on a milk carton right now." Richie rebutted, trying to provide some much needed humour to the group. Lizzy used everything within her to muster a breathy laugh. "And, uh also, that puke smells worse than your mom's slippers." Nevermind, Lizzy was back to rolling her eyes at him as quickly as ever.

"Oh shut up Richie," Beverly started walking in front of the group, wishing she had a bike (but understandably knowing that Pennywise wasn't thinking about how she'd get home after it kidnapped her with the intention of killing her). "OKAY, first off my mom's slippers smell like poupouree, asshole!" Eddie fought back beginning to follow Bev's lead whilst dragging his bike beside him and mentally taking a note of how he desperately needed a shower.

"No they don't." Stan muttered, almost wishing that maybe he'd died down there, not so he didn't have to deal with a lifetime of trauma, but so he didn't have to put up with Richie and Eddie's constant bickering.

Eddie, always quick to come into his own defence, started trying to prove both of his friends wrong. Bill rolled his eyes at how quickly everything seemed to snap back to normal. "Can we just, uh, keep it quiet please? Until we get home-" Mike was slightly laughing but it was obvious the poor boy was exhausted. Ben still had a blank expression on his face, still taking in the events of the past 24 hours.
