Fourteen
"The whole thing was my fault. Josh killed himself because of me."
"I'm sure he didn't. You two were in love; there's no way he died because of you."
"Love doesn't matter–"
"They say you get one true love in your lifetime. Josh was yours and you were Josh's. I've never seen two people closer and in love as you two."
"T-Then why did h-he kill himself, Brendon? W-Why did he choose to take his l-life away from me?"
"Maybe something else was going on in his life that he didn't tell you. Where's the note he wrote for you?"
"H-He didn't write one."
"But didn't Jake say he wrote two notes; one for his parents and one for you?"
"Jake probably lied. There was only one for his parents and all it said was that they could use his college money for overdue finances and stuff like he was sorry."
"Yeah, you're probably right."
Tyler wiped away tears he didn't realize had fallen down his cheeks. Maybe talking to Brendon would help.
