"I don't believe we've been properly introduced, boys. My name is Adelaide. I believe you're the little shits who killed the love of my life? Correct?"

None of us spoke. I'm not sure any of us were breathing. This was the part we were uncertain of, how much this vampire, Adelaide, knew.

Sang giggled and hiccupped, "Addi is my friend, boys meet Addi, she wants me to-"

"Shush darling now is not the time."

The instant obedience from Sang made me want to puke. Getting her to kill Addi feels like an impossible task, but hell if impossible is going to stop me at this point.

I took a step forward, but Gabriel put a hand on my arm and squeezed. Reminding me without words we couldn't just kill her.

Killing her would mean that Sang could never get her memories back, could never hope to return to any sort of normal that was left to return to.

She had to kill Adelaide herself.

"No one wants to chat?" The blonde girl stepped towards us like she was in control, as if we couldn't kill her easily.

The Toma team stiffened, but my brothers were cool and collected. It was Kota who spoke, just as planned.

"Why did you keep the girl?"

I watched Sang while he said this, even though I was supposed to be watching Adelaide. The idea was to hopefully make it seem like we didn't actually care about Sang, rather than Adelaide and killing her.

Sang blinked, she was behind Adelaide now and he eyes slid over to mine, as if she could feel my gaze. She smiled cheerfully.

"Hi Luke."

Adelaide spun around and looked at Sang, "do not speak."

Sang opened her mouth but nothing came out. Adelaide smiled and turned back to us.

"Where were we?"

"We were about to tell you how we killed your boyfriend. How pathetic he was when he went down, how easy it was."

I wondered who had spoken for a split second before realizing it was myself. She was in front of me in seconds, her fangs elongated and in my face.

"How delicious you would taste," her eyes narrowed on me, and just as suddenly she was back near Sang.

She studied us all evenly.

"The men who were not present while my beloved was killed may leave." She waved her hand flippantly, but when no one moved she seemed to grow frustrated.

"Darling cut yourself until these morons leave." The demand was said with as much care as one asking for another napkin at a restaurant.

Sang used her knife and sliced a deep, long cut along her collarbone. Half of us lunged for Sang while the other half began shoving the other team out of the door.

I stayed put, watching as Adelaide inhaled deeply and her eyes dilated. She looked over at me and smiled sweetly.

"She tastes delicious at least."

I frowned deeply, "what is it you want?"

She laughed, and snapped her fingers. Sang lowered the knife but didn't drop it.

"Now we're asking the right questions," she clapped, "I'm so glad you asked!"

Her voice wasn't much more than a purr as she began to stalk about the room, not bothering to stand guard by Sang anymore, as when anyone so much as took a step in her direction, Sang raised the knife. I clenched my jaw tightly, eyes never leaving Sang.
