Months have passed and Kenshin hasn't remembered Mei - Not the slightest little flashback she gave him reminded him of her existence with him in the past. Although Mei knew in her heart that she wasn't going to give up - She was suffering.

Imagine: Your childhood friend forgetting you - A bit painful, isn't it?

Mei tried her hardest to remind him, but it just wasn't working. How could he not remember after all this time? Didn't they use the same attack together? Wasn't there someone in his past that stood by him through thick and thin?

She felt so wrong - It didn't feel nice to pretend they never knew each other in the past. The past few days, Mei has been feeling down. The whole 'Issue' was really getting to her. As she usually would, Mei visited the Dojo - Even if she felt so blue, she never stopped seeing him.

Sumiko was well aware of her slight depression - To be quite honest, everyone was. Even Tae and Tsubame knew something was wrong with their co-worker, but they hadn't the slightest idea what was the issue.

Kenshin knew she wasn't normal, but he wasn't the type to go digging into people's business. True, he had asked he once or twice, but it was quite clear that she didn't want to talk about it, so he stopped asking.

And Sanosuke, was very upset. Witnessing his 'Little sis' being so heartbroken made him feel uneasy. Everyone missed the bright and cheerful Mei, they hated seeing her so down and blue.

But as time passes, Sanosuke and Mei had grown even closer - To a point where she had confessed the truth that she was indeed the Bloody Jasmine - Much to his surprise.

Of course, now that he knew the truth, Sanosuke fully understood why she's feeling down. But Mei being the cautious person she is - Told Sanosuke not to tell anyone, especially Kenshin.

Kenshin and Mei's relationship did not go anywhere - Much to her liking. It's not like she stopped laughing and joking - She's just starting to get a little sensitive about it.

Part of Sanosuke was a little angry at Kenshin for forgetting her, but he tried not to show it. All Sanosuke knew, was that it was his personal mission to make Mei happy again, no matter what it took.

The night has fallen, and Mei was in the Kamiya Dojo - As usual. It's exactly the same, he still doesn't remember her. But, what can Mei do? Nothing.

Everyone was gathered in the living room, Megumi had visited for the first time in forever, and Dr. Gensai and his granddaughters were relaxing with them as well. "Ugly here thought she could cook last night and guess what? She couldn't!" Yahiko snorted rudely as he filled his mouth with the sweets.

"Why you...!" Kaoru started, but was calmed down by Kenshin - Who placed his hand on her shoulder. "True that. Missie, you seriously need to consider taking a cooking class or somethin'!" Sanosuke exclaimed.

"Hmph! I don't need your opinions. Mei and Kenshin like my food, right?" Kaoru asked and turned to them. The two immediately looked at her and sweatdropped, "Yep!/That we do!" They nodded their heads.

The sapphire-eyed girl and spiky haired boy argued anyway, not caring how much Kenshin and Mei tried stopping them. "You guys are going too far." Mei commented. "That you are." Kenshin agreed with a sigh.

Hours later, everyone decided to engage in their own activity. Sanosuke and Yahiko decided to play a game of Shogi, Dr. Gensai and Megumi were discussing their patients, Ayame and Suzame were playing tag and Kaoru and Kenshin were drinking tea while conversing casually.

"I'm getting worried about Mei..." Kaoru stated sadly, "This one is as well, that he is. I wish she would open up and discuss what it is that is bothering her..." Kenshin sat cross legged as he looked at the spot were Mei was once sitting - But found it empty.
