Violet
I'm still quite mad at Sonia for choosing to stay on that soldier's side after telling her what that jerk did to me.
She said I'm letting this huge pride of mine overtake me again or I was only being super sensitive.
Thanks for the support, my dear friend.
So it was Cookie's (I still can't get over that his parents named him Cookie) first day as an all-around employee and I have been checking on him because who knows? He might be a thief or a psycho or something and decided to ruin my business and kill Sonia and me.
"Ahhhh! Isn't he a goddess?" I was taken aback by Sonia's presence who is now daydreaming in front of Cookie, who is occasionally serving cakes to our customers.
I slapped her shoulder and huffed. "For as long as I can remember, you have a boyfriend???"
"Shut up. You know how much I love that guy." She replied as she pouts at me. "Speaking of that guy... I need to rant to him about Indigo!"
And with that, she leaves me on the counter and went to the kitchen. Who the hell is Indigo? (Lol, Violet still doesn't know Cookie's real name. You will find out why Indigo was called Cookie soon, but if you already know then... lol you're good)

The day passed by and I have to say exhausted is an overstatement. On the brighter side, our customers are loving our red velvet cakes so much. This tiring day was all worth it knowing that Sonia and I brought happiness once again for today. When our customers dine in and see them smile after taking a bite of the cake, I can't help but feel overly joyful and content. Our shop is still small, but I'm certain that it will grow big as Sonia and I grow old together and then the next thing we know we're going to pass it to our children and then-
Okay, that was too much, but still. I'm just so proud and happy and blessed.
Now that it's closing time, Sonia is in the stock room checking out on the cakes' expiring dates inside the freezer as I do the math in the cashier while Cookie is mopping the floor.
I watched him as he mops the floor and arrange the tables and chairs. It's weird that a soldier like him would choose a temporary job at a bake shop. What I'm saying is, he could've been a body guard or a traffic guide, I don't know, but a bake shop???
Okay, that was something else, but I hate to admit that he's really hardworking and when it's work time, it's work time like I didn't see him not do anything. He was always doing something even if there were only a few customers after lunch time.
"Vio, can you hand me another pen here? Mine ran out." Sonia called out from the stock room.
"Wait! I'm on my way there!" I answered back as I leave the counter with a pen.
As soon as I got back, I continued checking on him as I calculate the money we have earned today. From the shape of his body, he must be really strong and due to all the physical works he have done today like helping the delivery man carry all the sac of flours, ice, and the other ingredients, mopping the floor and a lot more, he must be really tired now. But no, tiredness cannot be seen from him.
He's now carrying the other tables to one side so he could mop properly and I noticed that he is sweating really hard. I could see droplets from his forehead and arms and once again, I hate to admit that it looked a tiny bit... hot???
I was about to click number 6 on the calculator when all of a sudden, he raised the front of his black shirt to wipe his face and- oh my god my virgin eyes and soul! How could he do that without warning???
No wonder I thought his chest was a wall...
I immediately made myself focus again on my task and randomly (randomly? seriously, Violet???) click numbers on the calculator as soon as I sensed Cookie turning his head to my direction.
You're an idiot, Violet.
I can sense his eyes looking at me and he might be wondering why the hell am I randomly clicking numbers like why can't I just act normal and proper during situations like this???
I tried to peep if he was still looking and on timing, he lifts his shirt up and removed it.
And I've never seen washboard abs ever in my life and my eyes- ohmygod my eyes! Those abs- ohmygod those abs, is this for real?!
Why is it suddenly getting hot in here-
"I didn't know you get distracted, easily."
Oh sht.
