Okay so the point of views might be a bit difficult to understand. It's mostly third person omniscient,, oH and they are still at the library btw

"Ha! What the hell? So she just came up to you and said that? With a straight face?" Lance chortled, he was laughing so much he could barely breathe. This was nice. Being with Keith was nice. He was nice. Everything seems so simple right now.
"Yeah," Keith giggled (cute!), "She even- even winked-." He gasped to breathe.
Keith had just been recounting his favorite middle school memory- probably the only one- about when he used to be in jazz band. Some girl that played the trombone had asked him out with an innuendo. In middle school.
Lance laughed out loud at the thought of it again. "'I can do it in seven positions'," Lance repeated, which sent Keith into another fit of laughter.
Thank god there was no one in the library, they were being way too loud.
"Anyways," Keith wheezed as he wiped a tear from his cheek; he was crying of laughter, it made Lance want to make him laugh again.
"Anything...similar happen to you?" Keith asked. His cheeks pink from laughing, so cute, Lance muses.
"Ha! I wish!" Lance yelled out. "Nah, nobody has ever asked me out." Lance tried to make his voice sound cheery. Fuck.
" Really? But-" Keith stopped abruptly. Lance raised an eyebrow.
"Wow. But I thought you- uh, were dating someone? Before?" Keith said in timid voice, as if afraid of stepping in a land mine. Before what?
Lance didn't care anymore- about that girl.
"Uh, no." Lance explained, willing his voice to sound firm- or at least not crack. "I've never dated anyone either. Um, I did ask someone out, though."
"Oh." Keith didn't know what to say anymore. The atmosphere seemed to change into a more tense and fragile one.
"I don't care about it anymore." Lance said, not wanting things to be awkward now. "I'm over her, and I...
"Well, I have more important things to do than mope about some girl- who I now realize is a total asshole."
"Really?" Keith wondered. "Wow, well, if she is an- an asshole, then I'm glad you're not dating her, you know? You don't deserve her." Keith breathy voice, all while staring at his hands in his lap.
Then he realized what he said, "I mean, uh, you deserve someone better- you're- you're a nice guy- uh, you'll find someone some day- uh-" wow, that wasn't awkward at all. Keith inwardly cringed at his awkwardness.
Keith finally looked up, and god fucking damn it, Lance was staring at him. His Prussian blue eyes held a soft gaze, full of awe and- fuck- he looked beautiful. Keith was a tomato now- why am I so pale?
"Really? Wow. Uh, thanks, man. I- I hope I find someone too. You know, someone that- that uh, loves me too." wOW fuck that was awkward, wow, wow, okay how about next time let's not sound like a 12 year old? Lance scolded himself.
